I spoke with Jake today and told him congratulations .. I then also demanded that when he gets called into his first game during his warmup pitches to toss a few against the backstop like he’s a crazy lefty 😂😂😂😂 GOD DO I LOVE BASEBALL as a former catcher. #Don’tDareDigIn!!!!

Man she could be reading the phone book. I don’t even care what she’s saying - her pure happiness is infectious and beautiful. Congratulations @MensahTamStock.

Eagles pitchers held Lexington Catholic to 3 runs, but the bats remained cold against tough pitching from the Knights. @coleginter1 was the only player to get multiple hits going 2-3. Here is @JaxsonDavis3 and @Hayden_Collins8 final stats on the mound. – at Kentucky, USA

His first 2 yrs in the big leagues at 21 & 22 he threw 225 & 232 innings with a total of 16 complete games! Was always a fan but only now recognize how consistently great he was. As a little leaguer I would routinely switch between Don Sutton and Nolan Ryan imitations.

While coaching 3b in Montreal, I held up a runner at 3rd base out of “respect” for the other club. Frank Robinson almost grabbed me by the ear and said to me: “Listen son, you only have enough runs when you’re showering after a win” #unwrittenrules
