Welcome to the official X account of SlothCoin (SLOC).
SlothCoin is a conservation-backed security token built around the long-term protection of rainforest land in Peru.
The model is designed to direct capital into securing and managing rainforest, supporting conservation and rehabilitation work, and developing environmental-credit projects.
As verified environmental credits are generated and sold, that activity creates the economic engine behind SLOC, with capital expected to be reinvested into expanding conservation over time.
Here, we’ll share the progress, the conservation work, the token structure, and how the model develops from the ground up.
Does putting conservation on chain actually add value, or is the real innovation the model behind it?
As November 15 approaches, a quick reminder:
Only rely on information published through official SlothCoin and Global Conservation Capital channels.
We will never ask you to send funds through DMs, and any official launch details, links or contract information will be shared through verified project channels.
If it didn’t come from us, verify it first.
November 15 marks the next stage for SlothCoin.
Global Conservation Capital is planning the launch of SLOC, a security token developed around a broader conservation-financing model focused on rainforest protection and independently verified environmental outcomes.
The launch moves SLOC forward.
The work behind it continues through project development, conservation execution and verification.
November 15 is a milestone in a much longer build.
What should carry more weight in conservation: acres protected, wildlife returning, or verified environmental data?
A rainforest can be ecologically valuable and still face pressure to become something else.
Agriculture. Extraction. Development.
That is one of the realities behind conservation: keeping land protected has to compete with other economic uses of that same land.
GCC is building its model around that problem, with the goal of supporting long-term rainforest protection through verified environmental outcomes and a structure designed to keep conservation economically sustainable.
That is part of the thesis behind SlothCoin as the November 15 launch approaches.
Rainforest protection has a financing problem.
The work is long-term. Funding often isn’t.
Grants, donations and public programs remain essential, but they don’t solve every long-term conservation challenge.
That’s why GCC is developing a complementary model built around conservation projects and independently verified environmental outcomes.
That is the thinking behind SlothCoin.
November 15 brings that model into its next stage.
