#ciz - I do wonder if people are grasping the potential or not. Trials will be paid for by third parties involved in the manufacture, distribution and licensing. In the RNS there is mention of the US first. Behnke Group are involved. Corepath are involved. Numbers below just for smokers, consider at risk jobs or even age. behnkegroup.com/insights/ciz… lse.co.uk/rns/CIZ/strategic-… You have China with a £3bn market to access for diagnostics on lung alone. Bosch are involved and Sinopharm are involved by backing International Co-Innovation Centre for Advanced Medical Technology (iCCAMT). Shenzhen Intelliphecy Life Technologies Co., Ltd are involved. lse.co.uk/rns/CIZ/china-roya… A sniff in these two areas is hundreds of millions in revenue repeated each year. New mentions are both the UK and Europe. In the UK there has been a massive drive for lung screening. It's gone well but there are massive improvements to be made. The UK is performing tests but they aren't specific enough and are prone to high error rates. This puts people on the wrong pathway. Look at how much the arrangement between Grail and Illumina was worth recently. And this is for something that needs much greater accuracy and improvement. reuters.com/markets/deals/il…
#ciz 31 million smokers in the US. 15% royalty on tests there. Test anything from $250-450 per go. Feel free to do the numbers on the potential. Likely would be an annual insurance requirement. Also think of at risk work environments too.

this might be my last normal tweet before biotech goes vertical i'm not a whistleblower. I don't work at Lilly, Novo or any of the big labs but there is a massive shift happening in human biology right now. it's sitting in press releases and almost nobody reads them the last 6 months alone: - a once-daily pill roughly doubled median survival in metastatic pancreatic cancer (13.2 vs 6.6 months) - a one-time gene editing infusion cut hereditary angioedema attacks 87%, and 62% of patients stayed attack-free and off all other prevention for 6 months - a one-time gene edit for cholesterol dropped LDL up to 62%, and it held for over a year - a personalized mrna vaccine beat keytruda alone in a 1,137 patient melanoma phase 3 - retatrutide hit ~28% weight loss in a phase 3 - an ai-designed drug entered phase 3 - a pill that regrows hair passed its second phase 3 - an immunotherapy that could let some rectal cancer patients skip surgery, chemo and radiation just got fda approved - a man lived 271 days off dialysis on a pig kidney - human cells were caught passing chromosome-sized chunks of DNA to their neighbors, and it changes how the neighbors behave we are on the verge of an era where the human body is a software problem and the update cycle gets shorter everyday stick around, it's going to get weird bio/acc

Fuck Ukraine
Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine poses a serious threat to UK prosperity and security. That's why this Budget is providing over £10bn in additional support to Ukraine.

Activist judges need putting on trial themselves.

Get a minimum wage job or push your career on to be a supervisor? Your income won't go up because all the pay rises are going to the minimum wage workers but you get the extra responsibility, for an extra £140 a month. This is what happens when politicans determine pay.

I just can't get over this! A shitty, useless and nasty corporate hack is being paid a sum of money by the taxpayer that for most people would be a life-changing lottery win, to do a job that anyone could F-up as badly as he, which in any case is utterly destructive.

Folic acid supplements is NOT recommended for children under 12 years of age, unless prescribed by Doctor. Or at least that WAS the NHS definition, that has now vanished off the web! So WHY is our government forcing this on our children?

“You just spooked everyone telling them to stop pile (for a crisis)” Andy Burnham:- <Smug look & laughs knowingly> “It’s a challenging World” The UK PM treats the Public with absolute contempt after telling everyone they need to “prepare for a crisis” - now we can’t even keep a straight face‼️

An increase to £13.20p/h equates to a minimum wage of £27,456, based on a 40 hour week. Once you factor in employers NI and basic pension contributions, the MINIMUM cost to hire a 21 year old for a company would be £31,461. This is before you factor in any overarching business costs like office space, laptops, phone, software, training, support staff, vehicles etc. This is going to be devastating to SME's who cant put together a simple 12 month budget without the goalposts being moved & their margins squeezed. It'll also be catastrophic to youngsters opportunities because businesses will simply not be able to afford to hire them. What's also incredible is that anything above £50,270 is seen as 'high earnings' in the UK and is taxed at 40%! We are governed by financially and economically illiterate morons. This will not end well.
🚨 NEW: John Healey will increase the minimum wage for over 21s from £12.71 to around £13.20

This isnt a good thing. This destroys economies. If you arent looking for work, have a look on indeed. There are now so many technical and skilled jobs that would be close to the FTE of min wage. Particularly up north. Race to the bottom.
