Road to E-GOV'A: With H.E. Matthew David Woods (@MattWoods_UK )
@BeaugasOrain Djoyum, Editor of #DigitalBusinessAfrica and President of @SmartClickAFR, was received yesterday, August 12, 2026, at the residence of the British High Commissioner to Cameroon, H.E. Matthew David Woods (Matt Woods).
This warm meeting was the ideal opportunity for us to introduce and promote the ambitions of E-Gov’A (the premier event for e-government and digital transformation in Africa) to the British representation.
As a global pioneer of digital government (such as GOV.UK and the Government Digital Service, which remain international benchmarks for user-centred online public services) and Europe's leading fintech hub, the United Kingdom possesses expertise that resonates perfectly with the themes of E-Gov'A.
Furthermore, Commonwealth ties and British cooperation instruments (such as #GlobalTalentVisa, #CommonwealthStartupFellowship, @FCDOGovUK, British International Investment, and @UKEF ) provide a particularly favorable framework for strengthening technological cooperation between Cameroon and the United Kingdom.
Today, August 13, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM at his residence, continuing in the spirit of International Youth Day, H.E. Matthew David Woods will also present, alongside the Minister of Youth, @MFoutsou, the three Cameroonians selected among the 100 Young Leaders of the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Trust (#QECT). This landmark event will honor emerging youth whose commitment infuses a positive dynamic into the development of our communities.
Building on this momentum, we emphasized to the diplomat that E-Gov'A will offer his Mission a prime platform to showcase these major programs. We thus expressed our strong desire to see the @UKinCameroon High Commissioner invite British technology companies specializing in fintech, GovTech, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and edtech to seize this strategic gateway to the Cameroonian and Central African markets.
It is therefore only natural that, continuing his notable involvement at #Promote2026, we invited him to extend and amplify this great visibility at E-Gov'A 2026.
🚀 E-GOV’A 2026 will take place from October 14 to 17, 2026, at the Yaoundé Congress Centre, featuring the highly anticipated E-Gov'A Awards.
Placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the event is jointly organized by Digital Business Africa and the Smart Click Africa association.

Road to E-GOV'A 2026 : Avec S.E. Matthew David Woods (Matt Woods).
