The interesting part isn't simply that FungoLabs wants to make NFTs private.
It's that it's challenging an assumption Web3 has accepted for years:
Public ownership doesn't have to mean completely public information.
That's a distinction worth paying attention to.
I'm watching what @FungoLabs is building with Zama's FHE technology.
$FUNGO could be an interesting project to follow.

Your employer doesn't have to leak your salary. The blockchain might do it for them.
Here's something most people overlook about paying employees with stablecoins.
Every payment leaves a trail.
And if those payments happen on a public blockchain, anyone examining the transactions could potentially uncover:
→ The company's payroll wallet.
→ Employees' wallet addresses.
→ When salaries are paid.
→ How frequently each employee gets paid.
→ The exact amount entering each wallet.
Now imagine someone tracking those transactions for six months.
They could start identifying payroll patterns, estimating compensation, comparing employees' earnings and even drawing conclusions about the company's internal operations.
No hacked database.
No leaked HR documents.
Just publicly available blockchain data.
That's the privacy problem institutional finance cannot afford to ignore.
But what if you could settle salaries onchain without exposing the actual amounts to everyone watching?
That's where things get interesting.
@primus_labs explored exactly this possibility through a technical validation on BNB Chain.
Their approach used Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE).
Here's why that matters:
Instead of exposing salary figures before sending them to a smart contract, the amounts were encrypted before submission.
The contract could work with encrypted values while keeping the actual figures hidden from public view.
In the four-payment demonstration:
• Fictional employees received sample salary payments.
• Salary amounts remained encrypted onchain.
• Authorized employees could access their respective figures.
And there's an important distinction worth understanding:
The payment relationships, wallet activity and transaction details were not completely hidden.
The protection focused on the salary amounts, not every piece of transaction metadata.
That distinction matters because privacy is not necessarily about making everything invisible.
It's about deciding what should be public, what should remain confidential, and who should have permission to access sensitive information.
Think about what this could mean for payroll, institutional lending, private financial operations and other onchain applications.
The future of institutional finance shouldn't force companies to choose between blockchain transparency and financial confidentiality.
Both should be possible.
And that's the bigger idea behind what @primus_labs is building.

Bored Ape #9500 just sold for 1,000 ETH
The floor is still under $15k.
One buyer decided this particular ape was worth the full $2.4M.
Institutions don't just need to move money onchain.
They need to control what the world can see about it.
A public ledger can make transactions verifiable, but institutional finance also deals with sensitive balances, business relationships, and financial data that shouldn't be exposed to everyone.
The answer isn't to abandon transparency.
It's to make verification possible without sacrificing confidentiality.
That’s the gap @primus_labs is working to close: confidential infrastructure for institutional onchain finance.
Privacy and verification shouldn't have to compete.

Trust us, the funds are there
In finance, a statement isn't the same as verifiable evidence
A reserve proof alone doesn't prove an institution is risk-free
Better verification starts with understanding exactly what a proof can and cannot tell us. @primus_labs
The future of onchain finance shouldn't force a choice between privacy and verification.
We need systems that can protect sensitive information while still establishing the facts that matter.
That's the challenge behind confidential infrastructure.
And it's why I'm paying attention to the work Primus is doing in this space.
The technology still has to prove itself through real implementations and useful applications.
But the problem is real, and solving it matters.

Imagine being able to compute on encrypted information without first exposing the underlying data.
That's the promise behind fully homomorphic encryption (FHE).
It could open new possibilities for applications that need to process sensitive information while limiting exposure.
It's technically challenging, but the direction is fascinating.
Confidential computation is an important part of the broader privacy conversation around Web3. @primus_labs

👀 Spotted a token on GMGN associated with me that I didn’t launch.
Just to keep things transparent with the community: this token isn’t affiliated with DexorynLabs, and I haven’t launched any meme tokens.
We’re focused on building real products and infrastructure. If we ever decide to launch a token, we’ll share the details openly through our official channels. 🤝
Appreciate everyone who takes the time to verify before jumping in. Trust is built through transparency, one step at a time. 🛠️

And Abstract is shutting down.
That might be one of the biggest lessons in crypto this week.
Abstract wasn't some abandoned chain nobody used.
It built a serious consumer-crypto ecosystem, attracted major brands like Disney and Red Bull Racing, and processed hundreds of millions of transactions.
So what went wrong?
The problem wasn't simply “nobody came.”
The bigger problem was whether a consumer-focused chain could become a sustainable business.
Abstract says growth stalled, liquidity remained thin, DeFi activity was limited, institutional adoption was weak, and operating the chain was becoming unsustainable as a standalone model.
That's an important distinction.
Having users is not the same as having a sustainable network.
You can have attention.
You can have builders.
You can have transactions.
You can even have big brands.
But eventually the numbers have to work.
And now there's another problem for anyone still holding assets on Abstract:
December 15, 2026.
That's the shutdown date.
Users need to move their assets off Abstract before then. The project has provided a Migration Hub and native bridge, and has warned users about fake migration sites and impersonators.
So if you ever used Abstract, don't wait until December.
Check your wallets.
Check your applications.
Check your positions.
And only use migration links verified through Abstract's official channels.
The bigger lesson?
In crypto, adoption alone isn't enough.
A chain has to find a business model that can survive after the hype.
Abstract couldn't make that model work.
And that's probably a lesson the next generation of L2s should pay very close attention to.
Did Abstract fail because the consumer-chain thesis was wrong, or because the execution/business model wasn't sustainable?
