My humble bandmate Paul would never share this. So I will. IMHO, his vocal on our take of @KingsOfLeon’s “Pickup Truck” is so good. I just want brag on him.
Admittedly, this is an unusual selection to perform at the Annual Gram Parsons Guitar Pull in Waycross Ga…but I digress.
Nice job Paul!
This was 10/17/26.

Hey Texas, if this bothers you(it should) you best go vote. Right now!
A close friend in Texas just received this pamphlet in the mail addressed to HIS CHILDREN.
It targets kids who think they may be transgender and points them to resources on how to:
a) LEAVE THEIR PARENTS
b) How to travel OUT OF STATE for trans care
c) How be EMANCIPATED from their parents at 16
d) Education on hormones and SURGERY
...this was sent to HIS KIDS DIRECTLY
Amen! All of this ⬇️
I wish @MikeJudge would create more “Tales From the Tour Bus”. I’ve watched them all and think they are amazing. Just great. I laugh head off!
I don’t know anything about this Julian Dorey guy, but his super serious YouTube thumbnails always crack me up.
In my curbside order, Walmart was out of @LanceSnacks cheese crackers w/peanut butter. So they substituted some similar looking brand. (Sorta rhymes with Boston)
Let me just say, “similar looking” is where any sameness ends.
I’m not trying to be dramatic when I say I wasn’t prepared for the flavor shortcoming. They’re not even in the same ball park as Lance.
I even read the packaging fine print trying to determine it was a salt -free or fat-free version or something else. It wasn’t. They’re just flavor-free.
So give me Lance ANY day over these bland, cardboard Soylent squares. Holy cow.
1st world rant over.
In the summer of 1977, when I was 15, I worked with my daddy, roofing houses.
Somehow I managed to save just enough greenbacks to order this plywood Japanese Les Paul knockoff. It was $115 w/case(plus about $10 shipping). I think it took about three weeks to arrive.
A few minutes ago, I found this page from the actual catalog(more like pamphlet) that I ordered from a tiny ad in the back of Hit Parade magazine.
Although I rarely play it anymore, i still have the guitar and it still works.
In the “Shut up old man. That’s just the way it is now” category…
I just saw 6 people (3 separate couples) leave a @Subway due to frustratingly slow service.
Even though only 4 customers remained, the two seemingly unconcerned workers never even looked up, and totally missed an opportunity to be glad.
Kirby Smart says people are sleeping on Stetson Bennett as an NFL QB. We debate now on @undisputed
Observation: Commercials(including those on TV and streaming platforms) have always been a necessary nuisance. Occasionally a funny/clever one would come along. But now, they all seem to have reached a new level of bad. I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but they’re really awful and give me the ick.
👏👏👏👏👏
🚨 JUST IN: Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) just came out in support of NUKING the filibuster for the SAVE America Act
She's now SCORCHING Senate leadership for planning August recess 🔥
"What's up with recess anyway?! Who gets a MONTH off from work? I think we should stay there and work to GET IT DONE."
"I am all for, this is where I differ from my brother, getting rid of the filibuster to get this done because eventually the Democrats are going to get rid of it anyway!"
"In New Jersey, they had 6,600 people, non-citizens registered to vote and several hundred of them DID vote in our election."
NAILED IT.
Interesting observation:
Of the 9 cars parked at the local pickleball court yesterday. 4 of them were identical(but different colored) Teslas.
Oh well, I prob couldn’t afford one anyway.
I guess it wasn’t politically correct, but I’m an old country boy from rural Georgia and I remember (fondly) when Willy the Hillbilly was @MountainDew’s mascot. Wish they could bring him (and the whole hillbilly theme) back.
