10/30/26 - Scattered light showers are falling across portions of #SoCal today ahead of the main batch of moisture which is expected to move through the region tomorrow evening. Here's a look at today's high-res mesoscale Model runs - Still not great agreement among them on Rainfall totals, however, all agree that showers will continue into Sunday AM. #CAwx

Our weekend Storm System is now fully within the window of high-resolution guidance tools. The 3km resolution RRFS-A Ensemble's simulated Radar depicts scattered light showers on Friday, with a large band of rainfall moving across #SoCal Saturday evening. It's currently looking like OC, SD and Western Riverside Counties will be favored with this system. #CAwx

Here's a peek at the latest (10/29/26 12z) runs of the various Deterministic Models. Still a lack of consensus regarding how much Rain we should expect from this weekend's system, but #SoCal residents should keep an umbrella handy from Friday PM through at least Sunday. #CAwx

1/2) Today's latest (10/28/26 12z) runs of the major Deterministic Models do little to clarify what kind of rainfall amounts we can expect for the next system to Impact #SoCal this weekend. Consensus remains very poor. But... (cont...)

2/2) It's worth noting that the Euro's Ensemble Guidance has actually trended wetter for #SoCal for this upcoming weekend. Rainfall is likely across the region, especially Saturday evening (Sorry, trick-or-treaters 🎃🙁). But Rainfall amounts remain unclear. #CAwx

1/2) Today's 12z runs of the Deterministic Models aren't in very good agreement regarding Rainfall amounts for the next System to move through #SoCal Friday PM through Sunday. As has been the case lately, the AI versions of these Models depict higher totals than the physics-based versions. Cont...

2/2) With that in mind, Ensemble Guidance remains a better tool to reference until the Deterministic Models fall into better agreement. (Euro EPS Ensemble shown here) #SoCal Trick-or-Treaters should expect a chance of showers Saturday evening, so probably a good idea to bring an umbrella along. #CAwx.

Extensive coastal flooding but otherwise typical (if cool) weather through Thu. Chances for rain increase through the weekend... likely light Fri-Sat, but a lot of uncertainty for the weekend forecast, especially going into Sun. Great week to keep an 👁️ on the forecast!

1/2) A Trough will build in across the West later this week, bringing clouds and cooler temperatures. An upper Low is expected to approach #SoCal from the Southwest, bringing unsettled weather in time for the Weekend. Cont...

2/2) Latest runs of the Deterministic Models suggest the path of the upper Low will favor rainfall across Southern portions of #SoCal, but will need to watch later runs and high-resolution Models over the next few days as the path of the Low becomes more certain. #CAwx

Here's a generalized look at last week's storm totals for #SoCal. SLO, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties were the big winners, as were the Eastern San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains. The next system to impact SoCal will arrive in time for the Weekend. #CAwx

Heavy rain, lightning, small hail and flooding are possible with this cluster of storms, moving slowly to the southeast. Avoid this area if possible. #cawx #carain
