You have to understand that
India is not a contractual Federation, instead it is a administrative federation.
Hence , states must perpetually be assertive and keep telling centre that 'we, states can handle it'
Any assertion by states is always good, however the small assertion it may be
Constitution of our country will never allow reservation in private sector based on their language, birthplace and residence.
(check with any law expert for article numbers).
Congress or BJP CM will ever be able to pass that law.
Because both Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi will never let it happen.
This is purely diversion tactic tweet and issue taken once in a while.

I have personally witnessed linguistic favoritism in IT MNCs , where some Telugu, Tamil, Malayali, Hindi and Bengali-speaking managers favour candidates from their own language groups. Once they gain influence, they try to bring more people from their own linguistic backgrounds into their teams.
I worked for a US-based company where initially Malayali groups had strong influence in management. There was an ultra-deshbhakt Kannadiga manager who hardly ever spoke Kannada.
A few days ago, someone from the company told me that the same manager has now started speaking Kannada after reportedly being sidelined by Telugu influence in management.
My appeal to Kannadigas: Come out of this blind ultra-deshbhakti. Respecting your Kannada identity, language and people is not against the nation.
Don't wait until you are sidelined to realise the importance of your own language and identity. Stand up for Kannada and fair opportunities for Kannadigas.

I am fully for Karnataka jobs for Kannadigas. Tired of this Hindi speaking bs in Bengaluru. I feel like an outsider in my own state. In the name of business we have lost our culture. From auto guys to swiggy guys, everyone talks to me in Hindi, even if they are kannadigas.
Bengaluru went from Garden city to IT city to city of Pub culture. Pubs with playing only Hindi songs, instead of them learning Kannada we are being forced to communicate in Hindi. I am fine if we lose businesses over it, we have and will always bounce bank stronger. IT hub came here because it was Bengaluru, not the other way around.
What is the point of having more GDP, if we lost our soul. These real estate mafias have turned the IT hubs filled with soulless buildings. If people can take German exams for German jobs, there should be no issues in taking one for Karnataka as well.

The elderly lady here in this clip is Rani Lakshmi Kumari Chundawat — daughter of the ruler of Deogarh State of Mewar. She was a renowned writer honoured with the Padma Shri, and also served as MP for six years.
In this clip, she is explaining how Marathas took full advantage of Mewar’s war-torn condition (as a result of resisting invaders for centuries) by raiding & pillaging its territories even more than the Mughals ever did. She further explains how the main victims of these atrocities were mostly innocent civilians & peasants — who couldn’t even afford to leave their fields out of fear of getting ravaged by Maratha raiders, who didn’t even spare fodder!
This isn’t just the story of Mewar, but that of every Hindu territory subjected to Maratha depredations — from Gujarat & Rajasthan in the West to Orissa & Bengal in the East, even all the way up till Karnataka & Tamil-Nadu in the South. Contemporary accounts attest how Maratha raiders followed a 𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙-𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙮 of destroying crops & livestock, but retreating (using swift ponies) the moment any native army arrived at scene to fight them.

There may or may not be a regime change, but policies that undermine federalism will continue regardless of who comes to power unless we address the root cause.
We must recognise that centralisation of power is at the heart of many of these issues.
Simply replacing one ruling party with another will not solve the problem. True federalism, decentralisation of power and respect for states' rights are essential for lasting change.
