The fundamental question any athlete or patient wants answered, across all ages, functional goals, diagnoses etc is "am I gonna be OK?" If you can answer that and articulate a vision to get there, you will earn their trust and buy-in every time.

If I was working in a team setting and tasked with “speed development” — this is where I’d start. Not just drills or max velocity exposure… But building a system around profiling, monitoring, and integrating speed into practice, rehab, and planning.

This is HUGE! @APTA_official and @VALD_Health are collaborating to enhance the future of PT with data and technology. Objective, data-driven care is currently the gold standard, but soon will be THE STANDARD. Gone are the days of 4-/5 MMT and subjective RTS decisions 🙌
APTA and @VALD_Health will work together over the next year to advance digital musculoskeletal health solutions for physical therapy providers and their patients. Read more about this work: apta.org/contentassets/f33df…

6 Key Factors In Post ACL Rehab 🦵 Helping your patients through the early stages of ACL recovery? Here are 6 Key Factors to help your patients thrive post-ACL surgery! 👩‍⚕️ 1️⃣ Diminish Pain & Swelling ❄️🧊 – Control pain swelling with compression, ice, and elevation. Paind and swelling inhibit the quad, so adjust activity levels accordingly. 💡 2️⃣ Restore Full Knee Extension 🤕➡️🏃‍♂️ – Must hit full extension by week 1! This step ensures proper knee function and prevents long-term issues. Keep exercises frequent – aim for hourly! ⏰ 3️⃣ Gradual Knee Flexion Progression 🔄 – Goal: 90° by week 1, full flexion by weeks 4-6. Balance flexion with extension work for steady progress. 📈 4️⃣ Maintain Patellar Mobility 🔑 – Essential for full ROM and preventing scar tissue! Include self-mobilization techniques, especially with patellar tendon grafts. 🔄 5️⃣ Restore Quad Control 💥 – Early strength = long-term success! Use NMES & volitional control to rebuild quads and ensure a smooth return to sport. 🏃‍♀️ 6️⃣ Restore Independent Walking 🚶‍♀️ – Start weight-bearing week 1. Focus on proper gait mechanics with drills like cone walking & weight shifts.  🌟Interested in knee rehabilitation? Before she was “cleared” by doc did she pass RTP objectives? 1) Quads 100% BW, 2) > 90% Quad LSI, 3) Hams 60% BW, 4) > 90% Ham LSI, 5) Single leg vertical jump within 10%, etc. Quad strength deficits are common even at 9-12 months post op Patellar Tendon Graft ACLR.
Question for the brainiacs. What do we think is going on? 9 months post ACL, reconstruction, cleared from the doc, RTP for about 3 months, shake only started when we increase her practice volume. It happens on any ISO variation. @WGF1 @MarkHoover71 @TFConsortium
