A Bollywood producer once found himself so deep in debt that he was on the verge of losing his house. But what Shah Rukh Khan did when he found out left him completely stunned. The producer was K.C. Bokadia, and the film was Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002). The film took nearly eight years to complete, and the prolonged production had left Bokadia struggling financially. He owed Shah Rukh Khan money for his work in the film and was unable to clear the payment. But instead of pressuring the producer, Shah Rukh decided to waive his entire fee of ₹95 lakh. Bokadia later recalled that he had been prepared to sell his house to repay the actor. Shah Rukh refused to let him do so.
