$noid v2.1 makes checking a block up to a third cheaper. making one barely moved, and traffic was never the cost
tl;dr an empty block takes 16.6s to prove on a laptop, a full one 17.6s. ~94% of the proof is paid before a single tx lands
the math, from parano1d's own v2 performance page (i7-1365U laptop, 12 threads):
- small, 63 payments: 17.565s to prove, 0.830s to verify
- small, empty: 16.584s to prove (median of 3)
- 16.584 / 17.565 = 94.4%
apply todays v2.1 deltas (proving -1.4 to -4.9%, verify -23 to -34%):
- small proving: ~16.7-17.3s, inside the 30s block
- small verify: 0.83s > ~0.55-0.64s
- large, 206 payments: 42.6s > ~40.5-42s, still over 30s on that laptop
why this matters for v2.1:
launchpad buys, bonding curves and dex swaps land in blocks the chain proves anyway. on small blocks the extra activity costs whoever mines almost nothing
so when you see "v2.1 will clog the chain", the docs say the opposite for small blocks. the wall is large blocks, and those stay opt-in (--v2-large-blocks) for real hardware

Parano1d v2.1 is expanding the native financial engine and making the recursive proof pipeline more efficient.
Against v2.0.4, across four matched Small/Large payment and contract-call workloads:
• Full block proving time: 1.4–4.9% lower
• Proof verification time: 23–34% lower
• Final proof size: 2.4–3.6% smaller
Each pair executes the same workload and produces the same State. These measurements cover complete block proof construction and verification, with recursive validity back to genesis.
Native tokens, launchpad, bonding curves, DEX and NFTs are coming in v2.1. More native functionality, a leaner proof engine, better engineering (tnks D and A).

$noid v2.1 ships a launchpad, a dex and a festival token in november. the real test is whether it can eat 46k new noid a day
tl;dr its the first thing on parano1d that can lock noid instead of selling it, and the bar is set by issuance
the math, from the docs:
2,880 blocks a day x 16 noid = 46,080 noid/day
~$19.7k a day at $0.4276
1,017,804 blocks left in this tier = ~16.3m more noid. circulating today is 11.04m
so the chain prints ~1.5x its current supply before the first cut. thats the headwind every holder sits in rn
what v2.1 changes (per @ignotus_nemo's article):
- every launchpad token holds an isolated noid reserve, burn the token to redeem your share
- graduated tokens move to permanent dex liquidity
- the noone token launches on that launchpad during onefest
if those reserves and pools are noid-denominated, each launch pulls noid off safetrade and parks it onchain. 46k a day locked = issuance neutral
why now: v2.1 source lands this week, the activation height comes with it. thats the date to watch, not the festival
