Congratulations to Dr. Gerardo on a successful defense! Sheila developed seminal knowledge on the morphologic, mineralogic, and physicochemcial characteristics of ash as it pertains to the recovery of rare earth elements. I am a very proud advisor today.
Very proud to hood Artur and Sheila today! A hearty congratulations to these two, who started with me on day 1 of my time at @UT_PGE and have grown into fantastic young scientists!
Celebrating Shunxiang’s birthday with the group! Shunxiang has been working hard on understanding how microbes are stabilized in geologic materials!
Very proud to introduce Dr. Davletshin! Artur is my first Ph.D. student and started with me. Here, he developed a new platform that allows the first in situ observation of dynamic fluid-rock interactions at the sub-micrometer scale. Stayed tuned for papers!
Celebrating Wen’s birthday, and importantly, Sheila’s first paper getting accepted in @EnvSciTech today! Great day all around! Stay tuned for the paper
Happy birthday to group member Sheila! She has been working hard on understanding the recovery of critical minerals from domestic wastes.
Very proud to introduce Dr. Fukuyama, my first Ph.D. student @UT_PGE ! His dissertation spans experimental and numerical modeling of CO2 hydrate formation in the ocean floor, from the pore-scale to basin-level phenomena. He is headed to @SandiaLabs next, we will miss him!
Very proud to hood David Fukuyama today! David has done an outstanding job developing new theory on hydrate formation in subsea systems based on experimental observations and numerical modeling. He is my first Ph.D. student and coadvised with @hugh_daigle
