Assam wants to shrink Kaziranga’s eco-sensitive zone from 10km to 1km for a stadium and other development. Yet every monsoon floods force elephants and rhinos towards higher ground through these very corridors.
Let’s build stadiums elsewhere as we cannot build another Kaziranga.

Maharashtra shows the Way
Food safety is ultimately about people, not files, inspections or statistics.
Every safe meal is a family protected. Every action against unsafe food is a step towards protecting someone’s health, dignity and future.
Maharashtra’s experience reminds us that governance earns people’s trust when purpose is clear, action is fair, and compassion remains at the heart of enforcement.
Public service is, at its core, about standing with people; especially when they need the system most.

"My first husband stripped me naked and threw me and my daughters out of the house. Neighbours wrapped me in a quilt and my parents took us away. As I hold this gold medal in Glasgow, my message to every woman in India is to fight back against abuse."

BREAKING: FIFA are set to investigate the behaviour of Argentina after the final whistle at the World Cup final. 🚨
Sophie C retweeted
Messi is a phenomenon but take him out of this team and they’re reduced to a bunch of thuggish, unsporting louts
When he does retire from internationals, it’d be interesting if Argentina change tack n start behaving themselves
Cause the largesse from FIFA n its refs will end, when the box office star isn’t there.
From a purely neutral perspective, I don’t care which country wins but it’s unreal just how incredibly unpopular Argentina made themselves thru the course of the one month of the World Cup
Literally had an entire planet baying for them to lose wt all the shenanigans by them and by the officials
Last straw for me, was them turning their backs on Spain when they lifted the cup; when the Spaniards had just given them a guard of honour when they went to collect their silver medals
Unsporting and classless

Argentina players starting fights as soon as the whistle blows, attacking Spanish players.
Nobody deserves to lose this World Cup more than Argentina. The dirtiest, nastiest team in the tournament. Pathetic.
Class from Spain, the whole world has been behind you 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸

How do Argentina keep getting away with so many aggressive fouls man? It’s honestly so frustrating to watch.

And so the World Cup final will be between two teams who couldn’t beat Cape Verde in 90 minutes.

Watch Spain at 1-0 last night. That’s courage. That’s bravery. And then watch England at 1-0. What’s the difference?
We are a better team than Argentina, I’ve no doubt in my mind. But we deserved to get beat in the end. In fact, it could have been 4-1.
Bringing on 3 defenders at 1-0 up. What message does that send? I wrote it in my Daily Mail column after the Mexico game. Until we understand that courage and bravery is controlling possession under pressure and not booting / heading it up the field 40 yards then this will always be the end result.

What the f*ck is this referee doing? Argentina should have 5 bookings by now. Dirty team going woefully unpunished.

🚨 Every major refereeing controversy that has gone Argentina’s way at the 2026 World Cup… and somehow it looks even worse than Qatar.
🇩🇿 Algeria: Messi caught Aïssa Mandi with his studs. No card. No VAR review.
🇦🇹 Austria: Mac Allister appeared to foul Schlager before Messi’s goal. Austria protested, but VAR allowed the goal.
🇨🇻 Cape Verde: Tagliafico’s challenge in the build-up to Argentina’s second wasn’t reviewed despite appeals.
🇪🇬 Egypt: A brilliant Egyptian goal was ruled out for an alleged foul at the very start of the move, over 80 metres from goal.
🇪🇬 Egypt (again): Egypt appealed for a penalty before Argentina’s late winner. Play continued, and Argentina scored moments later.
🇨🇭 Switzerland: Embolo was sent off after VAR intervened for an alleged dive near midfield, one of the most unusual VAR decisions fans have seen.
One controversial decision can happen. But when the same team benefits from them in almost every round, people are naturally going to ask questions.
