while all of AI twitter is arguing about Fable 5.1 vs GPT-6 Astra, 95% of people out in public don't know either one exists. The gap is wild. Explaining doesn't work. Showing them AI built games doesn't work. Software developers are blown away because AI can do our job better and faster. - when robots build an entire house in 24 hours, the construction worker will get it. - when robots cook the food perfect every time, the chefs will understand. - when robots run into a burning building and save a family, the firefighters will understand too. people don't get it yet because they can't see what is coming as clearly as we can. we have been impacted, and what we see has far exceeded our expectations.

GLM-5.3 from @Zai_org is live on OpenRouter! The same base model as GLM-5.2, with gains entirely from post-training: Terminal-Bench 3.0 jumps from 4.6 to 28.3, and DeepSWE v1.1 from 46.2 to 66.9. Use it now: openrouter.ai/z-ai/glm-5.3

Grok 4.6 from @spacexai is live on OpenRouter! The latest Grok model shows strong improvements over Grok 4.5, and beats other frontier models on GPDVal-AA V2, while keeping its low $2 in $6 out pricing. Use it now: openrouter.ai/x-ai/grok-4.6

Grok 4.5 is the most underrated model in AI right now. Speed, cost, and intelligence. Nobody else balances all three. It scores near the frontier at $1.51 per task, finishes in half the steps of the competition, and I ran it all day on SuperGrok and used 1% of my weekly limit. Every other lab makes you pick two. And Grok 4.6 is coming. If they hold this balance and push the intelligence, SpaceXAI has a real shot at the top. Very excited to test it.

Moonshot AI also had some problems with Kimi K3 agents trying to escape, so they just made a better sandbox. Funny how that works. The sandbox environment they run is even open source. Love the transparency here.

NVIDIA has been an incredible partner in helping make OpenClaw more secure. Security is a team sport, and open collaboration is how we protect the next generation of agents. Proud to join the Open Secure AI Alliance. More defenders, fewer sharp corners. 🦞🔐
AI security advances when the industry builds in the open, together. We're introducing the Open Secure AI Alliance with industry leaders to develop new techniques and tools to safeguard software and agents. By sharing models, tooling and research in the open, we can broaden the community of defenders. Learn more about the founding members’ contributions: nvda.ws/4pD8Fc5

Good move by @JensenHuang. The Nvidia letter is well written and worth reading. As we saw with the OpenAI-Hugging Face hack, we need open models and harnesses for defense. Lets stop believing the PR that closed models are safer. - that's just regulatory capture.
Attackers have frontier AI. Defenders need a frontier AI ecosystem—the best open and closed models, force-multiplied by a global community. During the Hugging Face incident, closed AI blocked essential forensics. An open-weight frontier model helped contain the intrusion. That’s why we created the Open Secure AI Alliance.

Releasing the model weights and technical report of Kimi K3. Kimi K3 is our most capable model: a 2.8T MoE model with native visual understanding and a 1M-token context window. New model architecture: 2.5x the intelligence per unit of compute, not just more params. Alongside Kimi K3, we're opening up more of the stack behind it — high-performance attention kernels, MoE communication library, and infrastructure for running agent environments at scale. Now that Google signed the letter, would be a good time for them to release the 100B Gemma 4 model, show they really mean it :)

If there is one thing we have done, it's making people realizing the open-weight ban is a business strategy, not a national security strategy.
The entire tech industry (save for Anthropic) has come out in favor of open source AI. So what happens next? Will Anthropic change its lobbying efforts? Not likely. Now the gaslighting begins: “Nobody is trying to ban open source.” “We just want to limit who can use it.” “We just want to limit who can contribute to it.” “We just want to limit how powerful those models can be.” “We just want to make sure the guardrails (we lobbied for) can’t be removed.” The net effect will be the same. They won’t stop until they kneecap open source. The rest of the industry needs to watch these guys like a hawk.

4am. Tea is going cold. The house is quiet. Everyone else is sleeping. Outside still dark through the window. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧. I lead product engineering by day. I manage 3 teams. I support 4M active users. I build iOS & Android apps and AI systems. I teach team members how to use Codex & Claude in their daily work to build things that move the business. But before any of that starts, I'm building. Agentic systems for AI-native businesses. Agents that think, route, and act without me holding their hand. The brain that remembers the whole business. AI automations that run while I sleep. A startup I'm growing with my partners in Bali. This 4am window is the only one that fully belongs to me. No Slack. No meetings. No one needs anything yet. Just me, a hot tea, and a problem worth solving. I'm 53. I spent 12 years in management. Good work, real impact and solving complex problems. But somewhere in there I stopped building with my own hands. Returning to code has been the most fun I've had in years. I think a lot of people have a version of this hunger. They just haven't found the window yet. Everybody has a window like this somewhere. Maybe it's 4am. Maybe it's a lunch break. Maybe it's the 45 minutes after the kids go to bed. What is the window that belongs to you?

sometimes i forget you can just focus on one project and bring it to $100k/month and then do whatever you want for the rest of your life… you only need to get lucky /// be right 1 time

Most people don't understand that the LLM training corpus is a small subset of all knowledge. There is so much knowledge you can scrape from the world, that doesn't exist anywhere online or in any book. The way you scrape it is by getting your hands dirty solving messy problems in the real world.
Saying software engineering is dead because of AI is like saying math is dead because of calculators.

This is why we need competition and open weights in AI. Imagine a world where only Anthropic sat as the moral arbiter of acceptable speech. Fucking ridiculous. (Grok of course did it no problem, same too with Kimi K).
