$ASTS closed around $39, so I’m starting a challenge.
During COVID, running changed my life. I’ve gotten away from it, and today I started Couch to 5K to get it back.
Couch to 5K is a 9-week program, which means if I stick with it, I should be running a 5K Christmas weekend.
The goal: I’m going to keep running until I can run a 5K…and $ASTS makes its way back to $100. 😂
Any SpaceMob who want to join, start Couch to 5K or running program anytime this week and let’s do it together. Today is beginning of week 1.
Maybe when we hit our goals, some Soacemob can meet up and run an actual 5K or do a virtual Spacemob 5k.

AST SpaceMobile VP Luiz Abud reportedly disclosed today at Futurecom that AST is investing in FOUR new gateways in Brazil and actively pursuing partnerships with Brazilian MNOs.
His message: “2027 will be the year of D2D commercialization.”
"Anatel) indicated that it expects the announcement of partnerships between the two segments."
Yesterday: new AST Brazil country manager.
Today: 4 gateways + MNO talks + 2027 commercialization target.

AST SpaceMobile has reportedly named Rafael Mezzasalma its Country Manager for Brazil. He previously led Nokia’s Brazilian operation after spending 14 years with the company.
AST is already implementing gateways in Brazil, and its first partnerships with Brazilian telecom operators are reportedly expected to be announced soon.
The article states “Recently, the company obtained authorization to operate in Brazil in the S-band and should soon announce its first local partnerships for the development of services in collaboration with telecommunications companies. ANATEL extended Brazil’s Direct-to-Device regulatory sandbox through April 2029 and, importantly, expanded it to allow D2D activity with a commercial character, not just testing.
AST SpaceMobile already has a regulatory footprint in Brazil through AST & Science do Brasil Ltda., including direct participation in ANATEL proceedings.

The bond market is making it obvious: Fed hikes & Treasury buybacks are not what the bond vigilantes want. They want an end to the war.
My investments could change my life and the life of my kids. I could put my boys into karate. My girls into swim. Go back to two cars by fixing the one in my driveway that needs a starter. No accrue credit card debt just because I am buying freaking groceries. Stop listening to time-share presentations just to go on vacation. The list goes on.
But the more I fixate on all the things that could bring happiness and relief. The more I find myself envying and wanting and I stop thinking about all the things I have to be thankful for. If I stop for a moment and be grateful, It honestly puts the above list to shame.
I think if I can live more in the present, be a kind human and be grateful for what I have. Then I have accomplished what money can’t buy.
I have no illusion that money solves everything.
The more wealth I have, the more I feel alone. My high school friend just started a fantasy football group and I just don't have time or interest to join. It brings them joy the same way I have joy researching stocks and sharing here.
Money can't buy time - I have more time as early retiree, but we all will die at some point.
Money can't buy health - I have more time to exercise but by God's will, there's something you can't fix.
Money can't buy fame or respect. Look at Bezos and Bill Gates wife. The only time they're on the news is when they give money away. Other than that, no one cares.
I don't know everything, but the thing I know is money doesn't solve everything. Enjoy living in the present, and not get fixated by the destination.

Johnsen described the current T-Mobile/Starlink system as their “version one.”
His characterization of it: “more like a text-only service and maybe light voice”
Discussing Next gen sats, he said “We’re planning to fly the satellites next year and have the capability to turn on service first half of 2028.”
