My dad is a retired UPS driver of 30 years and his opinion of the situation is that this is solely on FedEx and I agree.
Freight trucks are usually rentals and that back should be locked at all times.
The biggest thing is the pallet unload and it points to two people needed. Forklift moves to truck B, truck has much smaller forklift to move in the truck itself.
Think about the speed here - less then 10 minutes to unload 3 or more pallets.
The other shocking part is usually ups and FedEx have hoppers or even supervisors for high valued loads. I was told it would be unheard of for that much of a load to be attended by one driver.
