We need to prevent America from becoming France

Save America before it turns into Europe. Elon Musk maybe is our last hope. France is burning, and it's not just a bad weekend. To me it's a symbol of Europe's decline, and I don't see a turnaround. France's government spends about 57% of GDP. Debt just hit 119% of GDP. The deficit is over 5%. Yet 410,000 marched on Friday (the authorities' count) demanding MORE. The math is simple: if you don't make more things and raise productivity, you can't print prosperity. In my view, schools aren't short of money. Too much of it goes to unions, bloated non-teaching staff and ideology programs. No party dares to cut spending. No party dares to tell people to work harder and build more. So it only gets worse. Fining American tech companies only gets Europe so far. Meanwhile the hard-working middle class pays twice: once to the tax collector, once to the looters who torch the shops and bite the hand that feeds them. Some second- and third-generation residents still don't work, live on benefits and say it's not enough. Europe used to be the center of culture, innovation and entrepreneurship. Now its streets look like this. What many of these protesters really want is socialism on steroids. Radical activists hijack it and use it as an excuse for violence. Many are the same faces you see at the pro-Palestinian marches, and I rarely hear them condemn Hamas. China has big problems, but at least it makes things. Europe's welfare is far more generous than China's, and Europe calls China communist. Go figure. Can Europe still turn this around? Data: INSEE, Eurostat.

They said it was impossible. Rockets landing. Boosters caught by a tower. A car that drives me out of my garage with one touch. And now the new Roadster. Late? Sometimes. Impossible? Delivered.

10 years ago, Tesla promised self-driving. Today, it's here, in its first cities. One touch of a button. That's the whole ride. On October 19, 2016, Tesla announced that every car it built would have the hardware needed for full self-driving. Many people laughed. Ten years later, Tesla drivers have logged nearly 16 billion miles on FSD (Supervised). Now Cybercab, a car built only to drive itself with no steering wheel and no pedals, is the fastest-growing part of Tesla's Robotaxi fleet. Texas had 45 on the road in early September. It has 420 today, nearly half of Tesla's 927 registered robotaxis in the state. Bold goals take time. Some deadlines slip. But the vision never changed, and it's driving down the street right now. As Elon Musk put it: "Sometimes I'm not on time. But I get it done and the Tesla team gets it done." @Tesla @elonmusk @wholemars @TeslaBoomerMama

I condemned Saudi Arabia beheading a young couple. The reply? 'What about Christians?' Meanwhile, Christians are being slaughtered in Nigeria and gunned down at a church funeral in Jordan. Whitewashing Islamist violence is anti-civilization and dangerous. Remember who excuses it in the voting booth. @elonmusk save the civilization! Western countries don’t know how dangerous the situation is.

This is getting scary and I’m not kidding! On Oct 9 I submitted 16,500 feet Mountain of Color (the rainbow mountain) and that day again I saw recent high of $TSLA $387. Once is coincidence, but 4 times in a row, that’s barely a coincidence and I’m not really Superstitious. It seems like each time I summit a tall mountain Tesla sees a decent price hike in all my recent hiking. With this token, do I have to summit the Everest Mountain someday? Hiking Whitney and Grand Canyon are considered extremely extraneous for me, Mountain Everest likely is out of my reach. Maybe Mount Kilimanjaro next? 5,895 m (19,341 ft) in Tanzania, takes one week to summit. Or it is a good excuse to abuse myself?

V14.3 lite definitely impressed me today, I didn’t expect the FSD take this narrow path and did it perfectly. One click of a button from start to finish in the driveway, HW3 still can perform. I’m generally fine with V12.6 since for me it’s assisting driving and making it much safer. An update like this is quite satisfying, I don’t mind about the waiting.
