How can VAR have looked at that and made any other decision than a straight red? How? That is just ridiculous. If that had been Romero...

OUTRAGEOUS. That was a disgusting challenge. Tel lucky not to be seriously hurt. Straight red all day.

Reflecting on Tonali's performance today. So neat. His positional sense is amazing and he just oozes simplicity it how he goes about his job. I understand better now why they splashed the cash for him.

2-0 comfortable victory. A beautifully run of the mill, professional win (helped by the early red). It feels like ages Spurs have played a game where there hasn't been some drama - got the job done tonight, dominant and deserved. Henderson kept it from being a thumping.

Wow Williams-Barnett with an absolutely wicked run - tee's Kudus up and he shins it wide. What an assist that would have been.

Barnett-Williams coming on?

Another decent stop from Henderson, this time a goalbound Gallagher effort.

Deki for Marmoush and Udogie for Robertson

Gosh Tonali has been excellent again and just then he absolutely wafted it...wonderful effort from distance.

Deki and Udogie readied.

Scrambled home? I take that right back! van Heckle with the cutest of headers off the rebound. Great goal. 2-0.

van Heckle doubles the lead - header at the back stick...scrambled home.

1-0, 65: Porro finds space and bangs over from close range. Solanke off for Gallagher.
90
Gray off for Porro HT Fernandes drives one, deflected away. Slapping on the pressure now.

Half time and Spurs lead 1-0, courtesy of an Archie Gray header on 25. Looking at the bench, if they get a second, you don't have to risk Maddison at all (or Udogie), and give Deki some more proper minutes into his legs.

Trundling towards half time. A good half, in control, the red has obviously impacted on how Palace are set up. Need to find some wit to get the second.

Sorry but what a touch by Yeremy Pino. Ball dropping from out the sky, on the run, brought it down like gently resting his sleeping baby down to bed.

We've been excellent at winning it back. Tonali exactly in the right spot to recycle when needed.

Let's be honest, this stadium - the new stadium - hasn't really seen any prolonged bouts of successful football or a team we all have felt completely invested in, player by player. Imagine if this is the start. Imagine if heading up here was like that last season at the old WHL
