Ms. Velma is longtime member of St. Luke’s so nice to see her and Ms. Dorothy in the newspaper for long and fulfilling life they’ve lived!
Dorothy Boggess and Velma Long, both 109, have been friends since they were 23 years old. They met during World War II as “Rosie the Riveters” and have lived near each other in D.C. since. wapo.st/4gId76y

Today we added a little twist to our church picnic and International Day and combined them into one. Thanks to the planning committee and Vestry we had a great turnout.

Tending our soil…literally. Nothing like a little Saturday morning church clean and a little gardening to go along with it.
