Amazing few days in New York as Paul Forbes leads Defining US screenings and town hall meetings across the state. Thank you Paul, Dr. Kristy De La Cruz, Bennett Lieberman, Camille Forbes and (@CSD_4) for showing us a "beloved community." Wish I could have been there!
Spent the morning in East Harlem (@CSD_4) at their DCEP meeting. Thanks to Superintendent De La Cruz for inviting me to screen the @DefiningUs: Children at the Crossroads of Change documentary followed by a Community Conversation. When we know our “why”, the work will follow!

And yes, there is a screening and there is a Q & A portion with members of the cast but more importantly, we want this documentary to be rooted in and used for engaging & interactive critical and courageous community conversations.
Grateful to see that realized last night (2/5)
