“America is a country of immigrants” is nonsense. Firstly, the United States is not so much a place as a contract. The country was here before the Nation. We refer to the Nation when we discuss our borders, our culture and assimilation to such. That we are made up largely of Northern European frontiersmen who defied tyranny and fled to freedom is important. Those men and women who risked their lives to forge a new contract and a new way of life centered around God and family and individual liberty became the bedrock of our culture. The story does not end there, of course, though many other peoples from every nation eventually joined and settled here; the notion that we have borders and are a sovereign country is not weakened by the fact that we are not “indigenous.” American is a nationality - a people who believe as our founders believed. The evolution of the Magna Carta into what we know as our Declaration of Independence and Constitution is what makes us a country - separate and apart from every other. Attempts to tear this down based on the idea that we came from everywhere and should therefore be globalist in principle is not merely unAmerican, it is antithetical to our Nationality. We deserve borders and sovereignty and protection from foreign agents trying to dilute our way of life just as every single other country deserves and, indeed, enforces.

Hell yes. I’m having Red Baron tonight.
He’s still here. He’s got a fan club. Including us.

The “Golden Rule” was mentioned often when I was a child. For some reason, it resonated so sincerely with me that it became one of my principal mental mechanisms. All of my decisions hit that branch first, before moving to other considerations in my mind. This is the heart of intellectual honesty. To be intellectually honest is to test everything you believe and do against your own values and then to follow them in principle and practice. It is to feel sonder, to have theory of mind, so while dealing with other people you consider whether you would find that thing to be fair or equitable and act accordingly. You do not leave your shopping cart out in the parking lot because you hate when there’s one sitting in the parking spot you want. You do not take advantage of others’ misfortune because you would not want this done to you. You do not otherize or demonize people as “them” because you know that you would not like to be dismissed in this same way. Be intellectually honest, even when no one else is. Face yourself squarely in the mirror knowing you are righteous because you do not make others burn your calories for you. Hold yourself accountable and be a true man or woman who can be relied upon.

This reply was very obviously a joke about what the birds are actually saying. I have been blocked by a surprising number of accounts that I enjoy for (I assume) being simply misunderstood. @becky_sing84602

“Working Families” should be rejected as a party name for the same reason you can’t put clever vulgarity on a vanity plate. Have your platform, implement it, sure, but you would cry foul if an opposing candidate ran under the “Totally Way Better” party.

What do you think: Age naturally or ruin your face? This is some sort of dermatology ad which popped up while I was browsing and I immediately thought - I know they are both AI but I prefer the one on the left.

The things I write aren’t meant to make you laugh out loud. It’s more this reaction I’m aiming for:

If a murderer doesn’t have a middle name, does the newspaper have to make one up?

We have a “No no, after you Miss” vs. “Gibs me dat” problem in our culture which should have been assimilated out a century ago.

I wasn’t aware of it, but I’ve been putting on a face. I often have a thought and I want to sit down and write it out but the algorithm and the post length DO come into my mind and I’ve been trying to make pithy quips and snarky replies to support a particular image of myself and I only just realize this. Well, it has not worked and I think that’s because I’ve been just that little bit dishonest. If I had my way I’d post as often as I have something to say. I’d ignore that you’re meant only to post a few times a day if you intend for your posts to get traction. Why do I care about traction? The entire point of my even being here, saying anything, is that here is the only place which allows me to be intellectually honest - and there is nothing more important to me in myself and others. So, no more of that. I will ignore my following and follower numbers. I will forget the algo completely. I will post what I want when I want, say what I mean and follow every kindred spirit and person who makes me laugh or think. Thank you so much - those of you who have listened to me and subscribed and been in spaces with me and supported me. Get ready for an onslaught of contention and heady nonsense. I am an American. A classical liberal and a judicious champion of freedom. I love my country and all the people who love it, as well.

Never wish for time to move faster. It moves plenty fast enough on it’s own.

Of course, this post gets traction when nothing else does.
I have another tiny alt account which has almost no followers. Posts and replies made on that account get a lot of attention while my posts and replies get 5 views. Something is terribly, stupidly incorrect in this algorithm.

Hanging out with a friend in Shingle Springs today. Hope your day is as good as mine (I doubt it, I'm having Marzen, a Maduro Churchill and listening to Sinatra.)

I’ll tell you what problem it solves: the apathy that has crept into all design and policy since the end of the glorious 1980s. It is RAD. That’s its job. It is sick AF. What it isn’t is amalgamated, soulless corporate bullshit foisted on us by the lowest-common-denominator “let’s not offend anyone” crowd that has held social power for far too long - and everyone is over it. Tesla is awesome. Their detractors will be left in the ash heap.
Before praising the flying Tesla, ask yourself what problem it actually solves.

Is there anyone more glamorous and arresting than Maye Musk? I don’t believe so.
