NEW: An Oxford-led study has found that virtually all care homes forced to close in England by the Care Quality Commission are run on a for-profit basis.
Of all the involuntary closures since 2011, 804 out of 816 occurred in for-profit care homes.

All but four providers in Knowsley have confirmed they will pay care workers the Real Living Wage from 1 April 2023 – payments will be made in June, backdated to April. We will continue to engage with these providers around paying the Real Living Wage.
