🚨 TEXAS STATE OFFSEASON NEWS BOMB 🚨
The Bobcats are making MAJOR moves as they gear up for their Pac-12 debut in 2026 👀🔥
• Brad Jackson RETURNS after a 3,000+ yard, 18-TD season + 16 rushing TDs.
• Beau Sparks & Chris Dawn Jr. back, keeping one of the most explosive trios in CFB intact.
• Highest-rated recruiting class in TXST HISTORY, including the program’s first-ever 4⭐ signee + multiple top prospects.
• DC Dexter McCoil OUT — staff shakeup as TXST looks to upgrade the defense for Pac-12 play.
• Landon Keopple promoted to OC, solidifying stability & continuity on the offensive side.
• Pac-12 era officially begins July 1, 2026 — every move is building toward that moment.
• AND… we still have a bowl game ahead of us 🎳🔥 One more chance to finish the season with a statement.
The message is crystal clear: Texas State is not just joining the Pac-12… we’re coming to COMPETE.
Elite talent returning. Historic recruiting. Staff upgrades. New conference. New standard. 🐾🔥

With that pass, #TXST QB Brad Jackson became the 4th Bobcat member of the 3K passing yards club, joining Barrick Nealy (twice), Bradley George, TJ Finley and Jordan McCloud.
GJ Kinne has produced a 3,000-yard passer each of his three season at the helm in San Marcos.

The national exposure that comes with this is huge. BIG day for Texas State.
We aren’t that far removed from playing FCS football and almost never on TV. The progress is still impressive even if it is a down year for football.
