Pray for the dead
BREAKING: An unidentifiable aircraft has just rapidly slammed into the ground in Palm Beach County, Florida, causing a crater in the roadway and debris spread across the street.
The crash is roughly 7 miles from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach and comes as US military air defense systems have been deployed around Mar-a-Lago.

A tragedy has struck my family. My daughter was still born, after an emergency c-section. My wife almost lost her life. Please pray for the two of us during this difficult time.

"A rational creature is endowed with two faculties, intellect and will. The object of intellect is the true, and the object of will is the good. The mind is not indifferent to truth in general, because it cannot cognize what is not true; nor is the will indifferent to good in general, because it cannot love what is not good. Therefore the intellect is naturally determined to truth in general, and the will is naturally determined to good in general. The matter is otherwise regarding this particular true thing and this particular good thing. If this particular truth is self-evidently clear and is not seen through another — as are those truths called first principles, e.g., every whole is greater than its part, in which no appearance of the false can intervene — the intellect is naturally determined to assent and no freedom and indifference of judgment remains. But if this particular truth is not self-evidently known and is seen through another — as are those truths with which an appearance of the false can be mixed, e.g., this proposition, the sun revolves around the earth — the mind can assent or dissent; and whether it assents or not, the indifference of judgment and true freedom always remain. Similarly, if this particular good is so proposed to the will that it cannot be apprehended under the appearance of evil, and if it is in itself and evidently and in every way good — as God seen through the light of glory face to face — the will tends toward this good with the same necessity as it is borne toward good in general, in which no reason of evil can be apprehended; and consequently no true indifference and freedom remain in the will. But if this particular good is not proposed as in every way good, and is not apprehended as evidently such — as in this life faith, charity, and martyrdom are proposed to the will, in such a way that it can flee them and refuse them, since the intellect can apprehend and propose some appearance of evil in contempt of the world, in self-denial, in the punishment of death — then indeed true indifference remains in the will, and a true power to the opposite."

Friends,
My 21 month old daughter passed away on Monday due to a tragic accident.
I ask you to remember us in your prayers.
Confident in the grace of her baptism, we know she experiences now the joy of the vision of God that belongs to the innocent in grace.

"Although God frequently helps man to act well through some habitual gift which He causes in the soul, He does not help him only in this way; but He also helps the very act itself, immediately causing it and immediately moving the faculty to it."

“Sin is one thing, the concupiscence of sin another, to which he does not consent who through the grace of God does not sin, although the concupiscence of sin itself too is called sin, because it was made by sin, just as any writing is called the hand of him by whose hand it was made. But about him of whom it was said: Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world, he himself dissolves by regeneration the guilt of the sin which is drawn by generation; he himself, by giving the spirit, brings it about that sin does not reign in our mortal body to obey its concupiscences; he himself, by daily indulgence, on account of which we daily say: Forgive us our debts, mercifully blots out whatever the concupiscence of sin has ill-persuaded even those striving and resisting well; he himself raises up, repenting, those dashed down by a grave ruin; he himself, where one cannot sin at all, will lead and establish those reigning, when it will be said: Where, O death, is your contention? Where, O death, is your sting? But the sting of death is sin. Behold how that Lamb of God takes away the sin of the world, which the law could not take away.”

The Blessed Virgin Mary, assumed into the glory of heaven, is a sign of hope and consolation for the entire People of God. For this reason, I wish to invoke her maternal intercession today on behalf of those communities that are in particular need of consolation and of renewed hope. My thoughts go out to our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land, which is also, par excellence, the Land of Mary. My thoughts also go out to the Ukrainian and Russian peoples, both of whom are united by their filial devotion to the Holy Mother of God, and to Christians who suffer discrimination or even persecution.

Gabriel Augustine Hall was born at 1:00 PM and lived until 3:15.
I baptized him in the OR, and he was confirmed shortly after.
He met his six siblings, grandparents, and we even sang him 'Happy Birthday' with a cupcake and candle.
He is now a saint in Heaven.
Sweet Gabriel, please intercede for us so we may all reunite in a place where there are no more tears, and where we can praise God for all eternity.

Jesus became poor to make us rich (2 Cor 8:9). He has shown us the way of God, who does not reveal Himself to us in power, but in the love of a Father who calls us into communion with Himself.

Saint Augustine too had a restless youth, but he did not settle for less, did not silence the cry of his heart. He sought the truth that does not disappoint, and the beauty that does not fade. How did he find it? How did he find true friendship, and a love that gives rise to hope? By finding the one who was already looking for him: Jesus Christ. How did he build his future? By following the one who had always been his friend. #JubileeofYouth

The most important (and most neglected) fact about apologetics: your life should be a motive of credibility for Catholicism.
“So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
