Extreme heat affects everyone, no matter how experienced you are. When temperatures climb, your body works overtime to cool itself, and dehydration can set in fast. ⛰️⚠️
The Trail Heat Safety Program restricts select trails in Phoenix from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on days when the National Weather Service issues an Extreme Heat Warning.

We’re looking at every opportunity to address Phoenix’s heat, including the pavement we drive on every day.
Regular asphalt absorbs heat and makes Phoenix even hotter. That’s why we launched our Cool Pavement Program. An ASU study found that it can lower pavement surface temperatures by up to 12°F at noon.
