Any ThemeForest/CodeCanyon authors at #WCEU later this week - please come find me, I'd love to have a chat with you!
Looks like I will be scarce here on Twitter now that they killed 3rd-party app access. I primarily use lists and neither Twitter or Tweetdeck have proper list positioning (refresh and your position is lost), which I've relied on in third-party apps for more than a decade.

Just what you wanted for your holiday reading, a brand new version of the Easy WP Guide. Completely updated for #WordPress 6.1. Read what's new and then go grab a copy. #BlockEditor #Gutenberg #ClassicEditor #EasyWPGuide easywpguide.com/2022/12/easy…
I noticed that emails from Easy Digital Downloads were going to the spam folder and was going to mark them as Not Spam - until I saw they sent me 8 emails in 8 days (over Cyber Week, but still). Maybe Gmail knows what it's doing after all?
It's great to see Twitter embracing the meta-verse! I really thought it would be more about VR and less about getting the majority of tweets to be about Twitter itself, but well done nevertheless...

Apparently @NuanceInc won't provide downloads for purchases of Dragon Speaking Naturally after 2 years. A shame because Dragon was so laggy on my last computer I couldn't use it and I was ready to try again. Anyway, turns out I found a much better solution instead...
Damn. The problems discussed aren't new (the current topics may be, the underlying issues aren't), but I can't remember such a well articulated take on the situation. Great stuff! 👏
The outrage cycle and insulting socio-economic theories are not helping the real problems in WordPress.

I asked @jcasabona to share his thoughts on WordPress, discuss the "free rider problem in open source", and teach us a little bit about the creator economy.

When you follow the link for a trac ticket you see being discussed because it sounds mildly interesting and find you commented on it already - 11 years ago... 😐

When you upload WordPress to do a fresh manual install on a webhost, you’re on the clock to finish it asap. Unfortunately, hackers can be quicker than you. smitka.me/2022/07/01/wordpre…

The WP 6.0 Block Theme Export function creates zip files that can't be opened either by Windows or 7-zip (though Win-RAR can open them). Pretty sure this didn't happen in the plugin version of Gutenberg.
Well, I fixed it by hacking WP core and adding ob_clean and ob_flush. Guess I better submit a ticket - but to WP trac or Gutenberg Github?
Submitted it here: github.com/WordPress/gutenbe…
