During the COVID times, public policy and authoritarian responses pushed people out of public outdoor space.
Public outdoor space became dystopian, scarring Toronto.
There never was a reason to push people out of public outdoor space.

Hard disagree. Can I show you some of great hoods in the city I know. Great bars/restos/music clubs. Opera, great film scene, multiple orchestras.
Let’s go for a walk some day.

Hahahaha. No one can put an X beside BB name. He scored a 1.2% last time. I know you study statistics. We were at OMERS around the same time.

I walk a lot in the city. 35 years.
The Toronto Police are a band of ungoverned bullies, uninterested in serving their constituents. Most of them live in Barrie or King City or some other far away place. They often have no real understanding of local perspective.

I talked to one officer there who said 300+ were assigned to the detail.
I am not sure if there were even 300 protesters.
The message was clear. They were not messing around.

Rob Ford bought drugs from the Dixon City Bloods, who became enemies of the Ford family.
The Ford Family attempted to plant bedbugs on their enemies in an attempt to end the extortion.
He and his family were and are criminals that injured and are hurting Toronto, in my opinion

Complex file. I remember, under previous Finance management, being asked to sec’y the “Valuation Policy Committee”.
I couldn’t understand what anyone was talking about. And I was manageing/editing the public policy and supporting documents.
My head exploded. A long time ago!!

Tdot vibe:
Smokers, dog owners, and motorists are really annoying me today. Municipal politicians, particularly petty populists, really annoyed me yesterday. The Toronto Police always annoy me.
Otherwise… I love Toronto.

Not to mention an hour of procedural wrangling. Eventually it will devolve into catcalling. They talk about matters that could be handled by management. Endless circle jerk of inanity.

Dr. De Villa in gallery. Everyone hugging her. They just spent 30 mins of the meeting giving bromides to each other.
… and the police remain ungoverned. Council will always argue for more police.
I am going to barf.
