🇺🇸 Trump is going all in to keep FIFA's Infantino in his job
Football's establishment is trying to force Gianni Infantino out, and Trump won't let it happen quietly.
A senior administration official says the president "will do everything possible to help him," crediting Infantino for the "best World Cup ever."
Infantino got here by pitching a 20% stake in a new $20 billion World Cup company to investors led by Josh Kushner, brother of Trump's son-in-law Jared.
By Friday it was dead, killed off by a UEFA boycott threat and a revolt inside FIFA itself.
Now UEFA and others are circling, and the push to remove him keeps building.
The twist? Trump is backing the man who just tried to sell a piece of the World Cup to Trump's own family.
