PERFECT TV?
I remember watching this at the time and it has stayed with me ever since. An incredibly powerful example of the futility of trench warfare. The final episode of Blackadder Goes Forth was first broadcast this week back in 1989.
Arguably the most poignant end to a TV show. They made us laugh for years and suddenly we felt what it was like to lose them.
We will remember them.
For our tomorrows, they gave their today.

They were just boys. Some barely old enough to shave.
Cold. Terrified. Knee-deep in mud. Surrounded by death, not knowing whether they'd see another sunrise.
They had mothers, fathers, sweethearts and dreams of a future.
Many never came home.
Behind every uniform was a young life that deserved to be lived.
We owe them more than a moment of silence. We owe them our remembrance.

As long as players like Gabriel go unpunished by @premierleague this type of blatant cheating will continue to blight the game.
All they need to do is punish him ONCE and it won't happen again. Biggest thug, biggest cheat.

🚨🎙️ Zlatan Ibrahimović on Arsenal's controversial performance against Liverpool:
🗣️ “Honestly, what are we watching here? This is becoming standard Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. Instead of focusing on playing football, they are spending too much time on dark arts and trying to disrupt their opponents.
“Look at the incident involving Timber and Isak in the first half. There is clear shirt-pulling, and Liverpool have every reason to question why a penalty wasn't awarded. Then you have the incident involving Tzolis. How does that go without a proper decision?
“Players are being pulled, challenges are flying in, and the game keeps getting interrupted. The referee has to take control. You cannot allow these incidents to go unnoticed.
“And don't get me started on VAR. What is the point of having technology if controversial decisions continue to create more questions than answers? The Premier League needs consistency from its officials. Big matches deserve better officiating.”

Can’t let the moment pass without mentioning Luca Williams, this boy is a very special talent, in my opinion the most exciting prospect since Glenn Hoddle, 2 minutes to set the World alight and he shone brightly, I’m very excited with him, a star 🌟🌟

Both Palmer and Rogers should have been sent off against @Everton as well. Palmer has shown previously that he's an arrogant little shite, but seems Rogers has been hanging out with his mate too much.

“We are here to change the club’s mentality.” Very significant remark from Matheus Fernandes to Sky Sports after Tottenham Hotspur’s win at Chelsea. Summer signing talking about new arrivals’ determination to help Spurs beat the bigger teams. Fernandes and Sandro Tonali impressed in midfield v Chelsea, as did Jan Paul van Hecke in defence while Andy Robertson will always give grit, 100% etc.
Takes time to change a mentality. Spurs have lacked leadership and a defiant, winning edge for some time. Antonio Conte and others highlighted that. Needs sustained determination and concentration, week in, week out. But the team strengthened by Fernandes, Tonali and others increasingly reflects Roberto De Zerbi’s fighting spirit.
Lads, it’s the new Spurs? Not soft any more? They have to maintain this level for the club's mentality to change fully. Definite start, though. #THFC

If you tell the electorate in say Makersfield you’ll not revisit Brexit (because they voted for it) then do exactly that… where does that leave you? Especially when you’re a PM the country did NOT vote for. I’m sick to death of political lies. From all sides. Anyone else?

Went berserk when we equalised 🤣
Least we deserved. Sincerely hope that gives Solanke some belief.
So much to be encouraged about. 💪👏
