❓Would it surprise you to find out law enforcement and fire dept basic anti-terrorism training has taught since 2001 that photography around government property is a "red flag" and should be treated as "suspicious"?
Utah Transit Authority (UTA) Police told a man he couldn’t photograph the rails from public property — then demanded ID.
Video from 2018 shows UTA officers approaching a man taking photos near transit rails.
They claimed photographing “the rails” was restricted “national security stuff” / "critical infrastructure" and that he needed written permission from UTA (or the FRA).
When he asked what law prohibited it and noted he was on public property doing First Amendment-protected activity, they repeatedly demanded his name/ID, said state law required him to identify if asked, and threatened to take him to jail if he refused.
He declined, asked for the specific crime or reasonable suspicion, and pushed back on the lack of a lawful basis for the stop.
A supervisor later arrived and the encounter ended without arrest.
❓When and why did police start demanding ID just because someone is filming in public?
❓What would be your reaction if an officer said “you can’t take pictures of that” without citing a law?

After an intimidation attempt fails and no arrest is made, what does that say about the original order?
In early January 2023, Long Island Audit (SeanPaul Reyes) filmed inside the publicly accessible areas of the Geary County Government Building in Kansas, which houses the motor vehicle registration office, treasurer’s office, and county clerk.
Deputy Huizar and Lt. Jones arrived after staff raised concerns. The female deputy Huizar attempted to order Reyes outside, while Lt. Jones stated he needed to leave because he was not conducting a transaction.
Reyes refused, requested names and badge numbers, and stated he was exercising First Amendment rights in a taxpayer-funded public building.
No arrest or detention occurred.
Reyes continued documenting the offices, filed an open records request, and left on his own terms.
❓How often do officers claim “disrupting business” when the disruption only starts after they arrive?
❓Why do some officers skip de-escalation and jump straight to commands?

🇺🇸 I'm fed up with the double standards!
I'm tired of watching the rules change depending on who's involved, which side they're on, or whose narrative needs protecting. Accountability shouldn't be selective, and the truth shouldn't depend on political affiliation.
Same rules. Same standards. Same accountability. For EVERYONE.
🎥 Watch this and tell me what you think. When did demanding fairness and consistency become too much to ask? 👇
