The greatest privilege of the Christian life is not simply knowing about Christ. It is being forever “in Christ.” Read the article from Steve Swartz here. steadfastinthefaith.org/arti…

Does the Bible teach us to believe in predestination/election? Deuteronomy 7:7–8, “It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the LORD set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but it is because the LORD loves you…” Psalm 105:43, “So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing.” Isaiah 43:10, “‘You are my witnesses,’ declares the LORD, ‘and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he.’” Matthew 22:14, “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 24:22, “And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” Luke 18:7, “Will not God bring about justice for His elect?” John 6:37, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me.” John 6:44, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.” John 6:65, “no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.” John 13:18, “I do not speak of all of you. I know the ones I have chosen.” John 15:16, “You did not choose Me but I chose you.” John 15:19, “I chose you out of the world.” Acts 2:23, “this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God.” Acts 4:28, “to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur.” Acts 13:48, “as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.” Romans 8:29, “those whom He foreknew, He also predestined.” Romans 8:30, “these whom He predestined, He also called.” Romans 8:33, “Who will bring a charge against God’s elect?” Romans 9:11, “though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls” Romans 9:18, “So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.” Romans 9:21, “Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?” Romans 11:7, “Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-29, “For consider your calling, brothers… God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world...” 1 Corinthians 2:7, “We speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory.” Ephesians 1:4-5, “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will.” Ephesians 1:11, “We have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will.” 1 Thessalonians 1:4, “Knowing, brethren beloved by God, His choice of you…” 1 Thessalonians 5:9, “God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 2:13, “God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.” 2 Timothy 1:10, “I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.” Titus 1:1, “Paul, a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God…” 1 Peter 1:1-2, “To those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit…” 2 Peter 1:10, “be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you.” Revelation 17:14, “those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.”

490 years ago this week William Tyndale was convicted and sentenced to death. His crime? Translating the Bible into English in 1526? No! Technically speaking Roman Catholic governing authorities took is life because he upheld the Bible's position that "faith alone justifies," "there is forgiveness of sins for salvation," rejection of purgatory, and praying to Mary and "the saints." #Tyndale500 "William Tyndale's Accomplices" page 138.

To avoid facing the Son as a terrifying Judge when the day of His wrath arrives, sinners must urgently run to Him as their only safe refuge before the Millennial Kingdom begins. (Psalm 2:12)

This is a worthy read!
On this Lord’s Day, rejoice that the Bible is foundational for the hymns we sing. 500 years ago Tyndale and his courageous accomplices counted God’s Word as far more important than their lives. By God’s providence, each one fulfilled their role, now it’s our turn. Come meet “William Tyndale’s Accomplices” @gettymusic in Nashville at Sing! 2026.

Just finished my teaching day at the Church Planters Conference sponsored by Africa Revitalization Centre outside Johannesburg at the beautiful Meulstroom Lodge. Wonderful godly men working hard in challenging ministries in southern Africa. Inspiring to see their determination and dedication to the gospel ministry. Enjoyed hearing from and learning from @zambiahunt Dr. Phil Hunt, president of @CABUZambia on collaborative missions work. Enjoyed hearing from Dr. Carl Hargrove @CarlHargrove on Philosophy of Ministry. Stellar heart for the Lord and His Church. Headed to Cape Town today for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood Conference for 2 days then on to Ethiopia after preaching Sunday. Prayers appreciated!

Thousands of French speaking pastors are needed to preach God’s Word so that churches are strengthened and planted in order that many will be equipped to do the work of the ministry. TMAI is praying for many more “accomplices” to join us in our efforts.
Who will shepherd the churches when today’s pastors are gone? This is a question many churches across the French-speaking world are already facing. As Together We Pray begins, Matthieu shares the urgent need for the next generation of faithful pastors. As seasoned shepherds near retirement, churches need men who are equipped to rightly handle God’s Word and faithfully care for His people. This is why theological training matters. This is why we invest in preparing faithful men for ministry. And this is why we trust that the Word of God will continue to accomplish His purposes through those who faithfully proclaim it. Join us in praying for French Canada Faculty of Theology, for students preparing for ministry, and for churches throughout the French-speaking world. To join the campaign, or share with others, sign-up at: tmai.events/togetherwepray/s…. Each day you’ll hear directly from pastors and ministry leaders around the world and learn how you can pray specifically for the work God is doing through TMAI. #TogetherWePray #Unhindered #GlobalPrayer #BiblicalMissions #GreatCommission #TMAI #WorldMissions #Prayer #ChurchLeadership #PastoralTraining #TMAI #CanadianChurch

Earthly kings and political leaders routinely take a united stand against the plan of God, attempting to break free from the divine authority that will ultimately govern them in the Millennial Kingdom. (Psalm 2:2-3)

Editorial: Just something to think about concerning the rapture of the church (We are treating this position as an established fact, not up for debate, not the purpose of this post). This is not a hugely important point, but I think more important than many think: the SPEED of the rapture, not the timing, but the SPEED. Generally, proponents of the rapture (of which we are one) portray this event in "Left Behind" style of sudden disappearances of people from off the earth, clothing left in piles, etc. Bible college practical jokes on unsuspecting freshmen notwithstanding, is that the way the rapture will occur? We would propose that the rapture will be (a) visible to the world and (b) slow enough to be observed and to potentially even cause a time of terror and dread on the earth. My evidence for this proposal is simply the other "raptures" in the Bible. Sidenote first: The twinkling of the eye of 1 Corinthians 15:52 arguably has several possible meanings, one of which COULD be an instant rapture. But it could also be the speed of the transformation of the mortal to immortal bodies. Back to the argument from other "raptures": ~Enoch was taken and since this is recorded in Genesis 5, there were certainly witnesses as to where he went. ~Elijah was taken slowly enough for Elisha to witness the whirlwind, chariot and horses of fire, etc. ~Jesus ascended into heaven for long enough that the disciples watched him rise (Acts 1) ~The two witnesses of Revelation 11 will be taken up slowly enough that "their enemies watched them" (v.12). So, these are examples of "rapture" events in Scripture and in each case, there were witnesses who saw them go. It was not a sudden disappearance with no explanation. Again, not the most important issue in the world, but something to think about.

When we start with conclusions instead of Scripture, we begin to reshape truth. But when we start with God’s Word, clarity follows. The Bible must correct us, not the other way around. Humility listens before it speaks. Truth is received, not constructed. (Isa. 66:2)
