Ayaan Hirsi Ali on growing up in the Africa, where she witnessed a man being lynched in the street, and what happens when Europe takes in third world migrants.
“When I first came to Europe, I was stunned by many things. But one of the things that I found most stunning and astonishing was just how peaceful it was.”
“In these other countries in Africa, violence was so normal.”

It being Trafalgar Day, here is another gem from John Sugden’s Nelson biography.
When he met a group of Britons in Prussia he told them: “they must be loyal and industrious, [and] then they would do equally well; but he above all urged upon them an eternal hatred of the French'. Not only that, but he summoned the officer in immediate command and 'confirmed him heartily in his hatred of the French'.”
In March 2020, the UK National Debt was £1.8 trillion. Today it is over £3 trillion. I hope you feel much richer from all that borrowing.
Two years ago today, Deng Chol Majek took a screwdriver and plunged it into the face of a hotel worker, Rhiannon Whyte, 19 times. He penetrated her skull 11 times. She died three days later.
Majek, an illegal migrant from Sudan, then bought beer and was recorded dancing. He is the face of evil.

STATEMENT FROM THE 5PILLARS EDITOR:
According to the ex GB News journalist Steven Edginton, a Home Office unit, RICU, has labelled 5Pillars a group of "Islamist Extremist Concern."
If confirmed, this is an outrageous, unfounded and deeply offensive assessment which raises serious concerns about the discriminatory profiling of independent Muslim media.
5Pillars is a professional news organisation serving a predominantly Muslim audience. We represent mainstream Islamic perspectives, operate within British law and uphold professional journalistic standards. Our journalists are professionally accredited, and we were voluntarily regulated by the independent press regulator IMPRESS between 2018 and 2024.
The examples for this assessment apparently cited by RICU are extraordinary because they involve entirely legitimate journalism. Let me address them:
*Charlie Kirk:* We described him as Islamophobic and pro-Israel based on his public record. We stand by those descriptions while unequivocally condemning his assassination. Criticising someone's views does not mean condoning their murder.
*Golders Green attacks:* We condemn damage against property and violence against innocent people of all backgrounds, including Jews, Muslims and Christians. But questioning whether attacks against Muslims receive the same political and media attention as attacks against other communities is entirely legitimate.
*Islamophobic hate crimes:* Of course we highlight attacks against Muslims. We are a Muslim news organisation. Jewish publications cover antisemitism and Christian publications cover attacks on Christians. Why should Muslim media be treated differently?
*Valentina Gómez:* Reporting on the Home Secretary's decision to exclude an openly anti-Muslim activist from Britain is plainly legitimate journalism.
*Palestine Action:* Its proscription, related protests and legal challenges are major national news stories covered by mainstream media. Reporting on them, particularly for a pro-Palestinian audience, is not extremism.
We are especially disturbed by RICU's apparent characterisation of reporting on anti-Muslim discrimination as promoting "grievance narratives." Are Muslims not entitled to raise concerns about Islamophobia? Are Muslim journalists not allowed to scrutinise government policy and challenge perceived double standards?
RICU's own credibility must also be questioned. It is closely associated with the toxic, anti-Muslim Prevent strategy. In 2016, The Guardian exposed its involvement in covert government-backed campaigns targeting British Muslims, sometimes concealing the Government's role. So it is deeply concerning that such a unit should apparently be passing judgment on independent Muslim journalism.
5Pillars is not an extremist organisation. We reject terrorism and unlawful violence. We are an independent Muslim media outlet exercising our rights to freedom of expression and freedom of the press.
We have never been informed by RICU or the Home Office of any such categorisation or given an opportunity to challenge it. We demand to know what evidence and criteria underpin this assessment, whether it has any formal status and why legitimate journalism is apparently being conflated with extremism.
This raises fundamental questions about press freedom and the treatment of Muslim media in Britain.
Our job is not to echo government narratives. It is to report the news, hold power to account and serve our audience. We will continue doing exactly that, without fear or favour.

My essay in the Daily Mail today:
It should be possible to question the scale and speed of immigration, or to mourn the disappearance of a familiar culture, without being assumed to harbour 'hatred' towards any new arrivals.
Love for England and a wish to preserve its historic civilisation are not the same as antipathy towards outsiders.

The Philippine Embassy has issued a statement responding to my interview with a Muslim Filipino who said she loves England for the benefits.
It says “expressions of anti-immigrant sentiment are not representative of the wider British society.”

A spokesperson for Campaign Against Antisemitism said: “These findings are hardly surprising when the past rhetoric of senior figures within 5Pillars includes denying sexual violence in the 7th October Hamas attacks, describing Hamas terrorists as ‘the Palestinian resistance’, and calling Zionism a ‘satanic cult’ when 80% of British Jews identify as Zionist and only 6% do not. Clearly the political echelon should have nothing to do with this extremist outfit.”
EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Home Office documents identify 5Pillars as one of the 'higher-profile Islamist extremist groups' operating on X.
Counter-terrorism unit RICU accused the outlet of downplaying an arson attack on Jewish ambulances and "stoking grievance narratives".

I will link the trial transcript we released again below, Kiran Kaur:
- knew Henry had been stabbed
- proceeded to ‘wail’ on the street herself and approached a neighbour saying Henry was the attacker
- took her son’s bloodied knife and hid it, didn’t mention this to police
EXCL: The mother of Henry Nowak’s killer will be released early from prison.
Kiran Kaur will serve just one year of her three year prison sentence for taking the knife from her son.
She’ll be released around the anniversary of Henry’s death in Dec.

The government is considering plans for a "YouTube tax" to force everyone to pay the BBC license fee. They are doing this so they can spend the money on "tackling misinformation" so that they can stop Reform.

EXC: The Home Secretary's new migration advisor previously called for a "safe and legal" migration route for tens of thousands of Channel migrants from the likes of Afghanistan and Iraq.
Harvey Redgrave also called for migrants to have an easier pathway to citizenship, for illegal migrants to have the right to work, and for the retention of free movement rules after Brexit.
