Today, @Ford announced we're investing $1 billion for a new state-of-the-art paint shop at Kentucky Truck Plant.
This investment builds on our other recent investments across Kentucky -- approximately $2 billion to transform Ford's Louisville Assembly Plant for our new Universal Electric Vehicle Platform and approximately $2 billion at Ford Energy Systems in Glendale, which will manufacture battery energy storage systems.
For more than a century, Ford and Kentucky have grown together, and we’re proud to be Kentucky’s largest auto manufacturer, with more than 11,500 employees.
These investments demonstrates our confidence in Kentucky’s workforce, our commitment to American manufacturing, and our belief that the future of mobility and energy will be built right here in the United States.

Louisville Assembly Plant is about to make history. This 3-million-square-foot facility is being completely transformed to build our new midsize electric truck, the Ford Fathom.
Crews are installing our new Universal EV Production System, reinventing how we build vehicles from the ground up using the expertise of our team at @Ford to deliver.
We're on track to begin Fathom prototype builds with production qualified parts in Q1 2027. Speed, scale, and manufacturing know-how, that's Ford at its best.
