When we took over this derelict country pub 3 years ago we had absolutely no plans to start a guest chef series. Last Wednesday we hosted our 60th event & it was a truly special occasion because chef Phil Howard came to cook!

We had a wonderful guest chef event here last night with M star Chef, Sam Carter from restaurant 22 in Cambridge. Next week we have Chef Sarah Hayward & Chef Tom kerridge joining us, the week after we have Tommy Banks, the week after Nick Nairn, then the one and only Jay Rayner joins us!
It’s big it’s very big but we are also starting to curate the next series line up so please keep an eye out for more details coming soon.

On Saturday night we are very proudly hosting a dinner with Chef Angela Hartnett. One of the most influential restauranteurs in Britain & a Chef/business person who has always inspired & equally encouraged me.
As most would probably assume, when Angela cooks, places are fully booked!
The White Horse is of course fully booked for this special event but I wanted to make a point of reminding people we are still open for drinks.
We are a local community based pub & the last thing we ever planned to do was exclude anyone at any time.
We are open 7 days a week 352 days of the year & guest chef night or not you are always welcome. There might only be space in our garden with your gin and tonic but we will never turn you away.
The guest chef series here is a huge part of our lives but The White Horse survives from its locals & we don’t ever want to take it for granted.
