I don’t care if someone calls me a ‘transphobe’. In fact, I’ve reached the point where I take it as a compliment. Because it’s increasingly used to describe women who stand up for their sex-based rights. And the men who support them. Why would I be insulted by that? But while I’m not offended by the word, I am wary of people who use it. Because it tells me something about their priorities. That they believe men’s identities and feelings matter more than the safety, privacy and dignity of women and girls. And that’s not someone whose judgement I’d be inclined to trust.

Because a certain kind of man believes that not getting everything he wants from women is oppression. This applies both to incels and to the type of trans-identified man who insists that speech, laws and physical spaces should be reconfigured around his self-image.
Why is asking for female-only spaces called hateful?

🤮 Disgusting. It doesn't take going down on someone to know a surgically constructed wound isn't a vagina.
How many trans women have you gone down on to make this observation

No, u perverted fucks. It doesn't take much to know a surgically constructed hole that has to be dilated to stay open is not going to be the same as a vagina.
Genuine question. Have you been licking trans womens vaginas? How else would you be able to know the taste?

🤣🤣 sure it has. I'm sure no one can tell you're a man.
Reminder that it's been nearly 5 years since anyone's called me sir in public. The transphobes tell you everyone can tell. I haven't even had surgery and I assure you everyone cannot tell. Fact 99.9% of people cannot tell. Does this make you angry transphobes? Aww.

BREAKING: The US Department of Justice is reviewing the forceful ejection of fans wearing XX-XY t-shirts at Friday's Portland Thorns game. "The Justice Department is aware of these reports and will review the matter thoroughly. Where the facts and the law warrant action, the Department will not hesitate to act." A DOJ spokesperson also told me, "Based on what is known so far, the conduct described appears to raise viewpoint discrimination and First Amendment questions rather than sex discrimination. The Department is reviewing it."

A woman was just kicked out of an event for wearing a sweatshirt displaying biological reality. This is tyranny. This is fascism. This is exactly what the left has been projecting all along.

I’m a middle-class woman in my thirties. I have a good career, a comfortable life and a degree of financial security that gives me choices many others don’t have. I’m well aware that I’m fortunate, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. Many of the issues raised in J.K. Rowling’s latest essay are less likely to affect me directly than they might other women. But why on earth should that make them any less important to me? If I need healthcare, I may be able to access alternatives. If I disagree with an institution’s decisions, I have the education, confidence and potentially the means to challenge them. Not everyone has that luxury. And circumstances can change quickly. Importantly, a comfortable life is hardly a permanent magical shield. I don’t have to be a woman in prison to care about the rights of female prisoners, or a woman seeking refuge after sexual violence to believe single-sex services not only matter, but are vital in society. Nor do I have to find myself vulnerable on a hospital ward, or be a nurse required to change at work, to understand why privacy, dignity and safeguarding are important. What troubles me is the expectation that women should accept the erosion or reinterpretation of their sex-based rights without question, and that objecting somehow makes them unreasonable, intolerant or hateful. I believe biological sex matters. Women are entitled to privacy, dignity and safety, and single-sex provisions are and entirely reasonable necessity. I also believe trans people deserve dignity, safety and protection from discrimination. That doesn’t require me to abandon biological reality or my support for safeguarding measures based on sex. Then there’s the law. The Supreme Court clarified the meaning of sex under the Equality Act in 2025. Yet disputes continue over how institutions apply that judgment. What happens to women who cannot afford those battles? It shouldn’t require a legal team, financial security and the patience of a saint to exercise rights enshrined in law. And this is where class matters. Those with the greatest influence over institutional policies aren’t necessarily the people who must live with their consequences. Those with the least choice are often expected to accommodate decisions they had little influence over. That is profoundly unfair. I’m not an activist. I’m somewhat introverted, I don’t have a significant public following, nor would I particularly want one. I have no desire to make myself a public figure. But I have opinions. Quite strong ones, as it happens. And I have a voice. One that my own conscience insists I use. I don’t presume to speak for every woman. Women aren’t a monolith, and we’re perfectly capable of disagreeing. I don’t expect everyone to share my views, any more than I expect to share theirs. But I do expect to be able to express mine. And I believe those of us who can speak have a moral obligation to do so, particularly when others cannot. As for Rowling, I don’t agree with an argument simply because she makes it. I have profound respect for her, but she’s a woman, not a deity. I respect that she had no personal need, with her current circumstance, to enter this debate, yet chose to because of her convictions. I don’t need to be personally disadvantaged to recognise something is wrong. I don’t need to know the women affected, or have anything to gain from defending their rights. My current circumstances aren’t a reason to care less. If anything, they make me more conscious of why those rights matter. I’d rather use my voice to defend something I believe in than stay conveniently silent simply because the consequences are less likely to land on my own doorstep.

Telling women that a facility is woman-only, but letting in men, is deception. Telling them it’s women-only, then specifically letting in a demographic of men who have a proportionately massively higher propensity to sexual violence, is collusion.

JK Rowling has just written a beautiful essay that I will link to below. This paragraph holds no punches: “Large numbers of women who’ve never been poor, who’ve never worked the kind of job where they’d be vulnerable to predatory men and who’ve never needed a r*pe crisis centre have spent the last few years vilifying members of their own sex for fighting to retain their hard-won rights and single-sex spaces, in ways that have shocked and disgusted me. I freely confess that I feel an extra layer of abhorrence for any woman who claims to be a feminist while doing it.”

Gender identity is a subjective internal sense. It cannot be directly seen or proven biologically like sex via chromosomes, gametes or anatomy. No diagnostic test exists for individuals. Research finds correlates such as twin heritability estimates often in the 20-50% range, prenatal hormone effects in some DSDs, associated gene variants and average brain differences, but with large overlap. Origins are multifactorial; mechanisms remain incompletely mapped and none predict identity for any person.

Yes you're right. We don't want predatory men to more easily deceive us to gain access to us & our spaces.
