About last night... The Norman balloon-sounding screamed armageddon for violent and long-tracked tornadoes in an uncapped atmosphere. Everything we knew was present. Yet the outcome was vastly different. Only one storm took advantage of this environment and the result was destruction in the town of Barnsdall. If the squall line hadn't undercut the storm right after, Bartlesville would have been next. The thing is, models suggested this outcome for many more cities last night, including the OKC metro. The weather community is shocked but grateful it wasn't worse. It will be a case study to learn from as to why the storms deviated from what was expected. Lives were changed last night and lives were lost. Prayers go out to those affected. -AT #okwx #Oklahoma #Barnsdall #bartlesville #tornadoes
