On BBC One, Children of Men (2006), a horrific dystopia set in a fascist Britain in 2027. On ITV... Undercover: A Year In Reform. Very on the nose scheduling or just a coincidence?

I'll be seeing Ken Russell's The Devils in a couple of weeks. This is just a glimpse of the cut sequence that was the centrepiece of Ken Russell's black mass.

Just saw this picture of Andy Burnham on my browser. I refuse to believe the placement of the play icon button wasn't deliberate... 😳

This is why I've as always said you have to spend money to make money.
Not as bad as Superman IV! Superman 4 ran on a shoestring budget compared to its predecessors - and it showed from the opening credits on.

All Art Is Sex! Who can argue with Ken Russell on that? 😃
Ken Russell's SAVAGE MESSIAH was at selected London cinemas on this day November 5th, 1972, with FORTUNE AND MEN'S EYES...

In memory of Jeremy Thomas, I want to share what for me is his best production. Terry Gilliam's Tideland (2005), a dark horror film disguised as a fantasy film. It's a slow-burner, but it pays off. The critics at the time missed the point of this film, I was in tears at the end.

A very eloquent and thought provoking article. Something has changed for the worse in the countries mentality.
How The X Factor convinced Britain that being nice meant lying, a sad backstory could substitute for talent, and anyone refusing to applaud was the problem. Jason Arday may be the most tragic consequence of all.

Richard Madeley is on Good Morning Britain talking about shoplifting. No-one is bringing up the time that plank of wood stole a bottle of champagne from Tesco in 1994. 🤔

I'm reminded of a line from @charltonbrooker's How Videogames Changed The World. "In the world of pop, middle class Kinks fans Blur are going head to head with dirge-spewing musical chimps' tea party Oasis in a battle literally no-one gave a shit about even at the time." 😛
Are you 52 or above? Then you, like me, are now older than John Humphrys was when he told the nation about the battle between ‘two of Britain’s biggest pop groups’. The monocle-popping disdain on the words ‘pop groups’ wouldn’t be used by a newsreader today. It’s another world.

Scoop: SUPERGIRL's post-production was intense enough that by March, two competing cuts of the movie were testing, one by the studio, one by director Craig Gillespie. The cut that won only won by 2 points. The post-mordem you've been waiting for. hollywoodreporter.com/movies…

I thought Scary Movie would be the worst thing to darken our cinemas this year... Uwe Bollocks: "Ja! Halte mein Weihenstephaner!" 😳
Armie Hammer’s return to acting in racist film ‘CITIZEN VIGILANTE’ has been banned by Germany. Follows a wealthy American in Europe who blames migrants for rising crime — played by an actor accused of sexual assault by several women.

Well, that was an amusing dream I just had. Netflix asked @EricIdle to do a 4 film biopic on The Rutles, to compete with Sam Mendes' 4 films about The Beatles, plus each film was going to cost $200 million. I was disappointed when I woke up, I'd like to see those.

This scene kills me every time! 😆
To keep The Naked Gun (1988) funny, director David Zucker insisted the actors never wink at the jokes or play anything for comedy. The more seriously Leslie Nielsen treated the insanity around him, the harder the movie landed.
