When xylazine is injected it can cause open wounds such as skin ulcers and abscesses to form.

When we began studying suicide in MH patients 25yr ago, there was widespread view that services could make little difference.
Now we have safer wards, early follow-up, NICE guidance on self-harm & much more.
And lower patient suicide rates.
Prevention is possible. #NCISH2023
