Congratulations to @NUQatar students Aneesa Khan and Giordana Bido whose @studio20q film, Woh Ghungroo Wali Larki, has been shortlisted for this year’s @CSAFFestival in Chicago. The film follows a young girl as she overcomes societal obstacles to pursue her passion for dancing.

Live from #Cannes2018, we're excited to announce that we're opening our grants program to TV and web series to foster more serialized Arabic content from MENA! This will make DFI the first entity in the region to provide seed money for Arab series. Submissions open this July.

Call for applications of the upcoming DFI Short Documentary Lab with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Rithy Panh. Applications are currently open, with a final deadline of May 5th. By the end of the 6-week program, participants will have produced 4-5 complete short films.
