Female Athletes have the biggest advantage to gain from Strength Training because most programs still aren’t doing it. When Female Athletes get Stronger: 1. Lower Injury Rates 2. Increased Speed 3. Increased Power 4. Greater Throwing Velocity 5. Stronger Bones Make them STRONG

Jayson Tatum is reportedly lifting weights for 45 minutes, 4-5 days a week with many of those sessions happening pre-game. One of Jayson’s biggest regrets last playoffs was pulling back on his strength routine. Basketball players, use the weight room to enhance your game 💪🏻🙌🏻

Stronger Athletes perform better on the field, court, ice, track and mat. Improvements in Force production have positive transfer to all athletic endeavors due to performance being governed by the laws of physics. LIFT THE WEIGHTS💪🏻

When asked about the value of the Athletic Period, 81.12% of student-athletes said they’ve used what they learned in athletic period in other areas of their lives, and 89.52% said it’s the best use of their time during the day. At a time when many districts and policymakers were questioning whether to cut the athletic period, this data made the impact clear: it’s not extra time-it’s essential time. These findings helped the @THSCAcoaches bring real student voice into state legislative sessions and superintendent study councils, grounding decisions in evidence, not assumptions. The full report dives deeper into how intentional coaching and structured athletic periods develop skills that last far beyond sport → shorturl.at/Xx7wT

“If you’re a high school athlete you better be lifting year round. You’re competing with transfer portal athletes who train 48 weeks a year. You’re a baseball player who lifts for 3 months in the off season then says “I have travel ball” or “I’m not lifting in season” you are already behind. Lifting is the X factor for baseball players” @ZachDechant TCU @IAStrengthCoach

When coachable players are held accountable, they understand it's for the good of the team and seek to learn from the situation. Uncoachable players think they're being picked on and play the blame game when held accountable.

If you’re not willing to get up at 5 AM to train for your sport in high school, how do you expect to do it in college when you’re playing D1 like you said you wanted? Some of y’all waking up at 11 AM are in for a rude awakening. College athlete schedules are no joke lifts at dawn, classes all day, practices, recovery, film, homework, repeat. You say you want to compete at the next level? Start showing up like it now. Too many wasting their time on video games and social media when they could be preparing themselves for the future they say they want.

I will never understand how programs invest thousands in new equipment and have zero to a few hundred dollars budget for nutrition or recovery resources for their athletes. Especially given the rising rates of injury, burnout, mental fatigue, and underperformance across all levels of sport. Many won’t like my take — but I’ve seen it firsthand. From small D3 programs to Power-5 athletics. Here’s my take 🌶️👇 👉 A $100 nutrition investment can often do more for performance than a $10,000 piece of equipment. 👉 Athletes can’t build strength, speed, or endurance without the fuel to support training. 👉 Recovery isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity for injury prevention, long-term development, and mental resilience. ➡️ Fuel is foundational. You can’t out-train a poor diet, under-fueling, or inadequate recovery. Athletes can’t build muscle, recover from lifts, or stay mentally sharp when their nutrition is an afterthought. ➡️ Recovery is performance. Investing in recovery tools, nutrition education, and sleep support is not optional it’s essential for long-term athlete development. ➡️ Injuries are expensive. What’s more costly fueling athletes well or losing them to preventable injuries and burnout? If we say we care about athlete performance and well-being then budgets should reflect that. It’s time we stop treating nutrition like a side note and start treating it like the secret weapon it truly is! Nutrition can make a good athlete great or a great athlete good.

If your coach is being tough on you and demanding consider it a gift. They probably see some things in you that you don't see in yourself.
