Illinois enters the 2026–27 season anchored by one of the premier offensive forces in the Big Ten in junior forward Berry Wallace. Coming off a sophomore campaign where she earned unanimous First Team All-Big Ten honors and racked up 626 total points (ranking sixth on the program's single-season list), the Pickerington native cemented her status as an elite three-level scorer by starting all 34 games and averaging 18.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest. Wallace led the entire conference in minutes played at 35.7 per game while showcasing elite shooting efficiency, sinking 86.5% of her free throws (ranking fourth in the Big Ten) and pacing the Illini with sixteen 20-point performances—including a career-high 29 points against Northwestern and a stellar 22-point, 7-rebound outing in an upset of Maryland. Armed with immense durability, high-volume scoring ability, and proven star production, Wallace leads Shauna Green’s squad as a foundational cornerstone in a loaded conference. #Illini #BigTenWBB #CollegeBasketball #WomenHoops #IllinoisBasketball
