Again, ComicsGate is just a bunch of creators doing their own thing as their own mini-publishers, aligned by friendship and philosophy and nothing else. We aren't a single company with bills and overhead and payroll. Aggregating our revenue year to year means nothing, especially when most of it in the initial years seems to be CyberFrog and Reignbow the Brute, two books of which are still forthcoming. We can shrink drastically during a recession and still survive. Not so with Rippaverse. He must grow in volume during a recession, as you can see. Caanan is asking for work. He is a freelancer working on YOUNG ISOM for now. It won't fund a series, and he'll be gone soon. He doesn't seem to be the Art Director, or on the payroll, anymore. Kara "left" the same moment Gothix and the Soskas did. Most agreed to be quiet, but Kara made a statement. I don't believe the statement. For "health" reasons? The "perfect" time to put yourself out of work. Seems like she was being kind to Eric by making an excuse for him. The Soskas, in addition to being writers, were also "Keepers of the Lore" and on the payroll. Now they aren't. They were obviously fired. For some reason, they unfollowed Eric and took "Rippaverse" off of their Twitter profile masthead. Why would that be? They were calling him a genius on his phone at 4 AM two years ago, making lovey documentaries about him. What happened? Meanwhile, I have messages from two freelancers who are telling me Eric is chronically late paying them, owes them royalties, and ghosts them for months at a time. How is any of this happening during a year where Eric made $5 million? Was any of that revenue profit? Keep those blinders on, dummy! #TRASHCAST
