The Suffolk County PBA extends its deepest condolences to the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota following the line-of-duty death of Deputy Sheriff Katherine Frank. Deputy Frank succumbed to injuries sustained after being shot while responding to a call in Sioux Falls on October 9. Despite lifesaving efforts at the scene and several days of intensive medical care, she tragically passed away three days later. Deputy Frank served with the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office for nearly two and a half years after previously serving for two years with the South Dakota State Penitentiary. Our thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Frank’s family, friends, fellow deputies, and the entire Minnehaha County law enforcement community during this incredibly difficult time. May Deputy Sheriff Katherine Frank rest in eternal peace.
