The beautiful brimstone butterfly laying eggs on our recently planted alder buckthorn. A great plant to add to your garden.

Absolutely knackered after a full rutting season. Time for a well-earned rest.

Breath-taking Tufted Duck/Pochard flock right by the Layer Breton causeway at Abberton this morning. Intrigues me that the thick end of 5000 ducks doesn't get more promotion.

Not everything was under lockdown this weekend. Dunwich Heath still supporting a healthy stock of red deer.

By chance I found a family of Spotted Flycatchers today with two large chicks in a nest. True to their name the chicks showed great interest in the movements of a passing fly! Sadly this is now a very local breeding species - and on the UK Red List @RSPBEngland

We need to concentrate on better use of energy, not more, more, more!
This is Sizewell on the beautiful Suffolk AONB heritage coast - also the exact location for a planned new double-sized nuclear power station adjoining world famous RSPB Minsmere. Who could possibly believe that this is the right place for such a massive industrial development?
