India's campaign at the 2026 Asian Para Games has just ended with a record 114 medals: 30 gold, 35 silver and 49 bronze. That beat the 111 won at Hangzhou. 🙌
It's almost fortuitous that we should have this session at #GodrejMumbaiLitFest
The book :
India's Paralympic Revolution: Empathy, Respect, Inclusion by Boria Majumdar (with Trisha Ghosal and Rohan Chowdhury) 📚
In the book, Boria predicts India can finish in the top ten at LA 2028, possibly with 50 medals. 🇮🇳
He also warns about lapses like dogs biting delegates at the Delhi Para Worlds in October 2025
Arati Patil competes in the Badminton Para SU5 category 🏸
the women's singles category for standing players with upper-limb impairment
I'm on the stage wielding the microphone 🎙️
As a sports fan and now a keen follower of our amazing para athletes who are making us proud 🤼🤺🏌️♂️🏄♀️🤽♀️🏊🏼♂️🤾⛹️♂️🚴🏻♀️🏄🏻♀️🏋️

This is a session that has my heart. Its me running a live book club year after year along with packed audiences at the #GodrejMumbaiLitFest 🔥📕
It’s called “Book in Focus”
This years book : Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi 🌠
‘Persepolis’ is an autobiographical comic in stark black and white that follows Marji from age 10 in 1980 to her departure for France at 24 in 1994. The film came in 2007; in 2024 the New York Times named both volumes to its 100 Best Books of the 21st Century.
Every year the festival contest invites creative responses to the ‘Book In Focus’. 🔖
This year readers & literature lovers & festival attendees contributed their interpretation of ‘Persepolis’ via poems, personal reflections and prose. ✍️
So first they shall read what they’ve contributed. 🎤
Then this eminent trio shall talk about their feelings on Marjane Satrapis seminal work 🙌:
Devashish Makhija works across filmmaking, fiction, poetry, children's books and graphic art. His films include Ajji, Bhonsle and Joram.
Iffat Nawaz is a fiction & non fiction writer. Standout nonfiction includes ‘Untold Stories of Tanguar Haor’, & ‘Shurjo's Clan’ is the fiction novel
Sarnath Banerjee is a graphic storyteller and visual artist. His books include Corridor, The Barn Owl's Wondrous Capers & more. His 2026 book is titled ‘Absolute Jafar’
————
Post which i question all of them on what theyve spoken about like the rebuttal in a debate 😄
Then it becomes a free flowing book club where the other folks in the audience jam with me. 🎙️
It’s all for the love of books 📚❤️ please do come

Unlike what Martin Sorrel thinks public relations is very much alive and kicking
It has just evolved into many things

“Trustcraft”, a potential neologism, is not an official dictionary word yet. For me it simply refers to a craft activity focused on building trust, says Sujit Patil in #RTViews today.

Welcome to this annual #bookclub that i host / chair at @litlivemumbai @litlivefest #TheMumbaiLitFest . Eminent writers speak about the book, so do contest winners….and then i come on and give my detailed overview, post which it becomes a free flowing discussion between audience, authors, contest winners and the chair! 📚 The back and forth of ideas gained and emotions felt while reading the novel ensures that this is thrilling for book lovers! This year we shall discuss the great American novel #TheGreatGatsby 📖 a 1925 tragedy written by American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald and believe me when i say this… it has aged beautifully. 🌟 Set in the Jazz Age on Long Island, near New York City, the novel depicts first-person narrator Nick Carraway's interactions with Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire obsessed with reuniting with his former lover, Daisy Buchanan. I’ve loved the novel's treatment of social class, inherited vs self-made wealth, gender, race, and environmentalism, as well as its cynical attitude towards the American Dream. Come and hear #ArjunRajGaind #ClaireNubile @rehanamunir12 and me along with an engaged involved audience at the #LittleTheatre @NCPAMumbai 2 pm onwards on Saturday the 8th of November 2025.
This is a literary masterpiece you want to find out so much more about 💥 and we shall help you do that. Also click here to know about all the sessions I’m involved with this year at India’s most prestigious literature festival! @SujitPatil
