This is such a bad idea.
New: @SalimVASenate's assault weapons ban bill includes a pretty big change compared to previous versions.
It would make it illegal to sell all assault weapons in Virginia.
Previous versions banned the sale of only new assault weapons, manufactured after a certain date.
I just contacted my Senators and Representative urging them to hold ICE accountable. I asked my Senators to vote NO on the DHS funding bill and to call for the abolition of ICE.

This, along with other big restrictions on the 2nd amendment, are such ridiculously bad ideas that threaten the liberty of Virginians. At a time like this, we need to support all constitutional liberties.
Reasonable background checks are a good thing, but I’m not for this.
