just as israel will blame everything solely on satanyahu to try and engineer a new status quo w a liberal zionist govt who will be just as ruthless, our elite are going to try to pin the last decade on trump alone when the dust settles. for trumpism to perish, we need real structural change.

Their agenda is literally just to take us back to 2024. Of course ending the genocide in Gaza doesn’t even register.
There’s huge potential for big changes right now. If these centrist hacks get to lead the moment, that potential will be squandered and we’ll end up with fascism.
Leader @HakeemJeffries announces Democrats’ agenda starting on Day One:
—Launch new oversight efforts to crack down on Trump’s corruption
—End Trump’s war of choice in Iran and lower gas prices
—Reverse Trump’s Medicaid cuts
—Reverse Trump’s SNAP cuts
—End the Trump tariffs to lower prices
—Extend the ACA tax credits to lower health care costs
There is this entitled disingenuous salesman-like smugness from liberals - especially centrists - that you don’t get from leftists or progressives. The is from the fact that liberals are capitalists - they believe in the sanctity of their capitalist overlords & paymasters.

Listen to this clip of Mamdani. The Democrats are going to run on this exact populist narrative and win the presidency by a double digit margin in two years.
It's an effective narrative, it's the right narrative and Trump handed it to them.

Be a massive unrepentant racist against Palestinians and Arabs while denying the Gaza genocide.

All kinds of retribution. He'll try to put you on a bad committee where you have no leverage. He'll make sure no money goes to your district. He'll make sure your legislation never gets a floor vote and will work to block others from co-sponsoring it.
Basically, he'll try to make you a pariah in Congress. So I understand why new members would be afraid to go against him! But flip side is - anyone who does do it will be an instant hero nationally and can use that popular power to overcome whatever retribution Jeffries does.

Serious question: could you explain the “risk” of coming out in opposition to Jeffries?

THIS is how Zionists and the Israel lobby will WEAPONIZE RACE to shutdown any opposition to Hakeem Jeffries.
For decades, the Israel lobby has tried to get black ppl on their side so they can claim “if blacks say it’s not apartheid & genocide then it must be true”.
If the Israel lobby-bought stooge, Hakeem Jeffries, becomes Speaker, then any opposition to his continued support of Israel will be shutdown by calling the opposition RACISTS.
This isn’t just “guessing”. This very playbook was used by the Haley Stevens campaign against Abdul El-Sayed to target black communities in Michigan. How? Because El-Sayed was once part of the Uncommitted Movement (withholding their vote until Harris called for a ceasefire in Gaza) during Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign. The Stevens campaign flooded black communities during primaries with fliers calling El-Sayed racist for opposing Harris. And it worked. During the general election, it took Harris and Obama to rally for El-Sayed in order to convince black voters (primarily older voters, younger voters didn’t buy Stevens’ BS).
The 120th Congress will have 58 Black House of Representative members. At least 10 black members are anti-genocide, change US policy toward Israel and no more money to Israel. So if you’re passionate about seeing the first Black Speaker, support one of the 10 members, NOT the Israel-bought shekel stooge, Hakeem Jeffries.
In my opinion, race should not play into our support. We need to find the least bought/compromised member who is willing to do things against the establishment. Sadly, the choices are slim but if you want to break the cycle, it must be done.

Let this sink in: ICE agents reportedly blocked the emergency entrance of a Los Angeles hospital for TWO HOURS, forcing ambulances carrying people who needed emergency care to go elsewhere.
This isn’t law enforcement. This is a reckless abuse of power that put innocent people’s lives at risk.
An ambulance entrance is not a political battleground. A hospital emergency room is not an immigration checkpoint.
And federal agents do not get to hold an entire community’s access to emergency medical care hostage.
Imagine being in an ambulance, fighting for your life, only to be diverted because federal agents decided their operation mattered more than emergency access.
Where is the humanity? Where is the accountability? And where is the line that these agents are no longer allowed to cross?
You cannot claim to be protecting America while putting Americans’ lives in danger.
This isn’t making America great. It’s making America cruel. And anyone defending this should be ashamed.

I cannot believe we’re about to pretend that the biggest midterm victory since the Great Depression and the fact that the whole Democratic Party started speaking like Bernie Sanders and Mamdani are unrelated

Wes Moore falsified his upbringing and military record, worked on Wall Street, pushed to have Lina Khan fired, and then lied about passing a state ban on surveillance pricing.
Not a surprising statement.

She lost in the same margins that the Republican you guys ran for governor lost.

The “planned protest designed to intimidate” is literally a bike ride where people boycott restaurants that support the occupation.
It’s crazy that Zionists have such a hold over philly/PA that the most low-level form of nonviolent direct action leads to the governor sending arms in.
My Administration has been in touch with local officials in Philadelphia ahead of the planned protest on Sunday that’s designed to intimidate and drive Jewish businesses out of our communities.
Hate and antisemitism have no place in our Commonwealth. And I’m grateful to state and local law enforcement who will work to make sure our neighborhoods remain safe this weekend.

The first black speaker of the house being a corporate hack empty suit with blood money on his hands who talks in politics babble when journalists try to ask him straight questions about his conflicts of interest could not be a more fitting outcome of American neoliberalism.

If this comes true, it'll be one of the most hollow "firsts" of all time. He isn't some revolutionary, he isn't a popular, effective, or even very successful leader. He's a corporate puppet propped up my AIPAC money. Disappointing is the least of his descriptors.
Brooklyn Dad is one of the worst centrist liberal accounts on this app; constantly punching left and constantly glazing up rotten corrupt sleazebag corporate hack centrist politicians like they are Marvel superheroes. Jeffries is a corrupt backroom dealer and an empty suit.
Hold on, folks. Can we talk about Hakeem Jeffries for a second?
He spent four years in the minority with no gavel, no subpoenas, and no committee chairs. And he still got results. He forced the vote on the Epstein files, and it passed 427 to 1.
He forced a House vote on extending the ACA tax credits, with three Republicans signing his petition. He forced a vote to restore union rights for a million federal workers.
He helped get Ukraine aid through. And he ran months of war games to prepare for every dirty trick this regime might pull on the midterms.
Three days before the election he told a rally: “One of the first things we’re going to do is run Pete Hegseth out of town.” That doesn’t sound like a guy without a spine to me.
He’s said “accountability” in dozens of speeches. The subpoena power arrives January 3rd, and you’d better believe he plans to use it.
I get it. We’re all hungry for hearings. So am I. But responsible leaders don’t promise revenge on camera, they build cases that hold up.
Speaker Emerita Pelosi made the job look easy, because she was insanely good at it, and she is precisely who has showed him the ropes.
That job seems hard as hell to me, and that's probably why whenever "popular" Democrats are asked if they want it, they're like "Nope. And I will be voting for Leader Jeffries."
An overwhelming majority of Democratic members of Congress plan to back him as Speaker, but he hasn’t even been sworn in as Speaker yet. Let him do the job before we cut him off at the knees.
Republicans would LOVE it if Democrats did their dirty work for them, knocking out our FIRST Black Speaker of the House in history.
JFC, even the horrible, lying jackass Mike Johnson got TWO FULL YEARS, and he accomplished NOTHING for the American people.
Affordability. Accountability. That’s what the MAJORITY of voters asked for, and he’s laser-focused on both.
Give the man a chance.🙏💪
