Gunn's lil bitches thought Clayface won't have any competition 🤣
“You Can See Everything” could collect a staggering $20 million to $25 million at the box office this weekend as it expands to 2,600 venues. That number could give "Clayface" a run for its money. The DC Studios release has projections of $25 million to $35 million. variety.com/2026/film/box-of…

So it made less than Morbius, but that's ok because it cost less? So it's now acceptable to make less? This sounds like mega copium. The 3rd movie in the DCEU opened with $133.6M and now we're scraping around for 75% fresh and $3M... literally what are DC doing

So stupid and so obvious. Why not make an original horror & put it on your slate as WB if you're not aiming to capitalize on the DC brand. Making Clayface is taking a potential release spot from other DC titles so it has to OVERPEFORM like low budget Deadpool/Joker. Simple

Clayface can't even beat Morbius's $5.7M Thursday previews. It's not looking good so far

Wanted to really like #Clayface, but unfortunately, it leans more to a middling comic book movie that almost feels like a sibling of the Sony Spider-Man villain movies. It has its body horror moments, but an underbaked script and bad pacing (mostly in 1st half of the movie) hold it back from being as good as it could've and should've been. I did quite like the final Clayface form reveal, though. There's a much better version of this movie under the surface somewhere, but unfortunately, we didn't get that version. Just a fine (I'd give it somewhere between a 5-6/10) one time watch that's mostly forgettable.

100% this. For me Man of Tomorrow has to reach $800M+ to show any form of progress & potential for the DCU. They also need to fast track Batman as well
Supergirl lost DC upwards of 200 million dollars because people didn’t go see it. Clayface has a small budget so if it makes 30m at the box office opening weekend it won’t lose money. It also won’t recover any of the money lost from Supergirl so the studio will still be in debt. If it only pulls that in as well it’s a low turnout and shows that general audiences aren’t connecting to this universe. I dunno how Paramount is gonna react to this shit. Basically everything absolutely hinges on Man Of Tomorrow even more now.

#Clayface has elements of body horror greatness but, a solid Tom Rhys Harries performance is bogged down by a generic script with clunky pacing and a movie that had me puzzled why any of it matters. I wanted to love it but it’s slightly more watchable than a Sony villain CBM.

The coordinated effort from the Hollywood press to polish the DCU financial turds needs to be investigated by the FBI More pressure was put on Sony who had 1% of the MCU catalog (and even performed better than DCU)
2..2 million less than Morbius congratulations to the DCU fans.
