I’ve been all over the country in the last month.
And I get asked the same question, over and over again:
“I disagree with Kamala’s position on the war in Gaza. How can I vote for her?”
Here is my answer:
Having come through the Chatsworth estate and along Dobb Edge, heading for Birchen Edge, we found this #fingerpost. It took a while to work out that it points towards the Robin Hood pub. #fingerpostfriday #derbyshire.
North #Arran #sannox #fingerpostfriday after a long and challenging walk and scramble from #Lochranza
It was very sad to see what must have been someone’s pride and joy in a small river that flows into the sea at #Lamlash #Arran #isleofarran
Months ago, I sowed seeds of cyclamen hederifolium from the #RHS free seeds for members. I find it fascinating that they’re all starting to germinate- within a couple of weeks. Do they talk to each other?

Completely understand why people might have had enough, but we have lost 200+ followers in just a week.
So if you have followers you think might appreciate our quiet, bookish, pretty and sociable corner of twitter please do reweet and we will try and follow back as far as we can

George Monbiot - "We should never underestimate the extent to which the BBC changed this country by giving endless airtime to Nigel Farage, other far right extremists and the Tufton Street junktanks, while shutting out progressive voices."

“Domestic” – that word that somehow doesn’t feel adequate – because terror can also happen in the home.

Manifesto week is a bit like having your meals designed by a four year old – so expect Haribo, party rings, and Jammy Dodgers.
What I’m going to be looking out for, though, is who is brave enough to put broccoli on the menu.
Who is brave enough to include some unpopular policies… as well as the sugary crowd pleasers.
Because let’s face it – whatever the make up of Parliament in a month’s time…the economic picture is not going to change overnight.
National debt will still be cripplingly high… public services will still need more investment… and the tax burden will still be at historically high levels.
Will there be a manifesto this week that addresses the scale of the challenge – and that levels with voters about what that really means in terms of policy?

Most women wouldn’t be spending time building weapons, they are too busy. Most women don’t want young men killed. They see their sons in every lost life. Women want peace.
#fingerposts #fingerpostfriday #macclesfieldforest #peakdistrict #catandfiddle #shiningtor #shutlingsloe chilly day - treacherous ice & snow on the paths. One of the finger posts has the Cat and Fiddle pub on the skyline. The same post has Shining Tor, highest hill in #cheshire

Explain to me how this TikTok’r gets it and “public health experts” don’t. MDs don’t.
Share widely on multiple platforms.
Shout out to @michael_hoerger for breaking through to the younger generation.

Here's a treat in the middle of a wet and windy winter: visit some of the best archaeological digs across the UK this year with a BRAND NEW series of #DiggingForBritain, starting tomorrow evening on @BBCTwo.
Once again, with no trailers for this series, I'm hoping you can help spread the word!

Christmas cancelled due to Covid. Friday, in a rush, delivered children’s gifts to parcel shop & paid extra for next day delivery & insurance. Didn’t realise one of the items wasn’t covered. Parcel now stuck somewhere. I sincerely hope it’s not been lost. @evriuksupport
Christmas cancelled because Covid appeared. Rushed to post children’s presents on Friday using #Evri ‘s #nextdaydelivery service. Didn’t read ts and cs. Paid for insurance and now see the main item isn’t covered. Another item irreplaceable. Very disappointed. ☹️
