Super excited to share that I received an Honorary Mention in the #ProjectSirenAwards2025 for my story "FE Mental Health Series | Every 40 seconds, someone dies by suicide – Can we prevent the next?" Grateful for the recognition!

Web desks, across different publications, are notorious. It has become an accepted practice — almost peculiar to Indian #journalism. Such a practise, described as whatever in news parlance here, is actually legalised plagiarism. (This IE story, it seems, is a web-only piece).
The @IndianExpress has reproduced and reworked substantial portions of an exclusive interview with actor Rishikanth, conducted by The Hindu's @srinivasjam at our Chennai office. It has also used a photograph from the accompanying photoshoot by our photographer, @thamodharran, without permission or credit. Quoting an exclusive interview is standard journalistic practice. Reproducing virtually an entire story, even with portions reworded, is not. We find this disregard for original reporting and photography deeply disappointing. Credit where it is due is a basic tenet of journalism. thehindu.com/entertainment/m…

Revolution’s $RVMD pancreatic cancer drug has stunning commercial debut It might be too early to call Rasonque the best cancer drug launch in history, but it’s certainly close, and investors are now re-evaluating their forecasts for what lies ahead. statnews.com/2026/11/05/raso…

Just learnt that French journalist Vanessa Dougnac has passed away. The OCI card holder covered South Asia for more than 2 decades. In 2024, she was unceremoniously asked to leave India because of her reportage. She bade goodbye to Delhi with a heavy heart. I covered this case at the time. It was not only Dougnac who was under government scanner, several other foreign journalists working in India faced restrictions. After Op Sindoor PR bungling, govt has realised the importance of foreign journalists. But long way to go! RIP newslaundry.com/2024/02/16/c…

With late-stage independent GLP-1 assets becoming harder to find, where will Big Pharma look next in the obesity market? From amylin analogues and muscle-preserving approaches to emerging mechanisms, my latest for @INVIVOnow focuses the assets and strategies that could shape the next phase of obesity drug dealmaking beyond incretins.

Approval does not guarantee access. A 2025 European snapshot found 8 of 31 countries reimbursed no CAR-T, and BMS said just two in ten eligible US patients receive it. What else does CAR-T need? Therapeutic Thursday. Read it here... capsul.news/therapeutic-thur…

$LLY ’s retatrutide delivered greater weight loss and A1C reduction than Ozempic in a Phase III head-to-head trial, but with higher rates of treatment discontinuation due to adverse events. With a tirzepatide comparison ahead, what comes next for Lilly’s investigational triple agonist? My latest for @PharmaScrip
